  • Patent number: 9447989
Abstract: A cushion-shaped concentrator for concentrating solar radiation in an absorber includes a transparent membrane that faces the incoming radiation and includes a reflector membrane which reflects the incident radiation in the direction of the absorber. The transparent membrane and the reflector membrane form an outer casing for a chamber filled with a gas at overpressure. Tension elements are arranged between the transparent membrane and the reflector membrane The tension elements produce constrictions on the reflector membrane that separate a plurality of distinct concavely curved sections of the reflector membrane.

  • Patent number: 8887654
Abstract: Floating platform (1) having a flat cover element (2) and a sealing element (3), which is connected to the cover element (2), makes a sealing contact with a liquid surface (4) during operation and encloses a closed cavity (5) together with the cover element (2) and the liquid surface (4) or a bottom surface, in which cavity (5) an overpressure which supports the cover element (2) can be produced by a compressed-air production apparatus (5?), with at least one circumferential wall (6) being provided as the sealing element (3), and having a sealing section (3?) which projects into the liquid during operation.

  • Publication number: 20120324888
Abstract: The invention relates to a cushion-shaped concentrator (1) for concentrating electromagnetic radiation, in particular solar radiation (S), in an absorber (2), comprising a transparent membrane (3) that faces the incoming radiation during operation and a reflector membrane (4) which reflects the incident radiation in the direction of the absorber (2). In order to create a simply designed, low-cost cushion-shaped concentrator (1), by means of which the electromagnetic radiation can be concentrated at high efficiency in an absorber (2), the transparent membrane (3) and the reflector membrane (4) form an outer casing (5) for a chamber (6) filled with a gas at overpressure, wherein tension elements (7) are arranged between the transparent membrane (3) and the reflector membrane (4), said tension elements (7) producing constrictions (E) on the reflector membrane (4) that separate concavely curved sections (A) of the reflector membrane (4).

  • Publication number: 20100186733
Abstract: The invention relates to an inflatable solar collector (1) comprising an at least partially transparent sleeve divided at least into two chambers (3, 4) which are separated by a reflector membrane (5) reflecting on one side and which can respectively receive a gas, and at least one absorber (6) arranged opposite the reflective side of each reflector membrane (5). The sleeve is a cylindrical tube (2) and each reflector membrane (5) extends along the length thereof. The absorber(s) (6) is/are arranged along at least one focus line extending along the length thereof. Fillable ballast chambers (10) can be provided beneath the reflector membrane (5). Anchoring strips (12) are used for anchoring and bearing rolls (13) for support.
