  • Publication number: 20150365534
Abstract: An application server for use in a telecommunications network. The application server comprises a receiver for receiving an indication of a call setup or message to a fixed line telephone number of a subscriber, a determining unit for determining whether a mobile station of the subscriber is connected to a home femtocell of the subscriber, and a redirection unit for causing the call setup or message to be redirected towards the mobile station if the subscriber's mobile station is connected to the home femtocell.

  • Patent number: 9020497
Abstract: Method of routing a call to one of a plurality of user equipment of a UMA/GAN-subscriber in a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network comprises a service control entity. Said service control entity determines whether said UMA/GAN-subscriber is within or outside a home area. The service control entity comprises a first indicator indicating at least one network address of a user equipment comprised by the plurality of user equipment to which the call is to be routed in case the UMA/GAN-subscriber is within the home area, and a second indicator indicating at least one network address of a user equipment comprised by the plurality of user equipment to which the call is to be routed in case the UMA/GAN-subscriber is outside the home area.

  • Patent number: 8918076
Abstract: Network node and method in a telecommunication network, the network node receiving from a calling terminal a request to set up a call with a called terminal. The network node retrieves call set up information from a stored connection table and utilizes the retrieved data to set up the call. The connection table comprises data relating to set up of a call between the calling terminal and the called terminal. A first region class for the calling terminal is determined, and a second region class for the called terminal, each being associated with locations of the calling terminal and the called terminal, respectively. Furthermore, a rating category for the call to be set up is determined using the first region class and the second region class using the connection table.

  • Patent number: 8725107
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sending an emergency message to mobile terminals located in an emergency area, in which at least location information and a subscriber identification code is stored in a database for a plurality of mobile terminals. Then the emergency area is determined. Next, a set of destination terminals is selected out of the database having location information that corresponds to the emergency area. To each of the destination terminals the emergency message is sent by means of an SMS message or a voice message using said subscriber identification code. By using the method according to the invention, all the terminals present in the emergency area can be reached, independent of whether they are subscribed to an SMS alerting service, and not depending on a certain channel to receive the message.

  • Patent number: 8331900
Abstract: A method and system, for adding emergency information to an emergency call, network transport of the emergency information and display to an emergency center operator. Emergency information may comprise; position indication, ability to voice answer, indication of accompanying SMS, automated alarm etc. and is added as postfix to the emergency number by the phone as shown in FIG. 3. The network entry node takes care of separation of dialled emergency number and emergency information, to enable normal set-up of the emergency call connection trough the network to the emergency center where the emergency information is presented to the emergency operator.

  • Patent number: 8150390
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of routing a call made to a fixed telephone number of a UMA-subscriber in a telecommunication network. A service control entity stores a so-called ‘near list’ comprising a cell identifier of each cell overlapping a WLAN coverage area of a WLAN AP associated with the UMA-subscriber. The service control entity also receives location information of the UMA-subscriber from a switching node (2) or from a location server (16). If the cell identifier of the serving cell is in the near list, the service control entity prompt the caller to select out of a list of options. If the cell identifier of the serving cell is not in the near list, the caller will be prompted but with a different message and with different options to select. The caller is for example offered the opportunity to wait for the called party to arrive at home, and be dialed back.

  • Publication number: 20110026702
Abstract: A method of handling a request to set up a call between a calling party and a called party in a communication network. A switching node that serves the called party receives a request to set up a call from the calling party, and the request includes information identifying the calling party. The switching node invokes a call handling service for a comparison between the information identifying the calling party with identities of calling parties in a remote database, the identities having been provisioned by a third party. This allows a third party to provision information in the database that can be used for all subscribers to the call handling service. On the basis of the comparison, a decision is made on whether to set up the call or whether to invoke alternative call handling procedures such as barring calling party identity with identities in the call or diverting the call to, for example, a voice mailbox.
