Abstract: A personal care apparatus having a hair trimmer, a main part and a head part. The head part being connected to the main part in a region of the main part that is adjacent to the head part and is pivotable relative to the main part. A personal care tool is provided on the head part and comprising a toothed cutting mechanism that has at least one drivable toothed blade and a spring of a U-shaped configuration has a cross-member connected to the head part and two sides co-operating with at least one position extension connected to the main part in the region of each of its two sides. The spring acts between the head part and the main part, and the head part is pivotable by the spring in synchronization with varying displacing forces that act on the head part in the course of a personal care process.

Abstract: To allow a self-user to conveniently position a cutting area to effectively and efficiently cut the hard to reach hair surface areas, a hair-cutting device (1) with a handle (40) and a cutting head (20) connected to the handle (40) is proposed, the cutting head (20) having one cutting unit (21) rotatably displaceable around an axis (R) of rotation, wherein the cutting area (27) and a point (P) on the axis (R) of rotation span a cutting plane (CP), the cutting plane (CP) being substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation (R).

Abstract: In a personal care apparatus (1) having a main part (2) and a head part (3), the main part (2) is designed to be held in one hand, the head part (3) is pivotable relative to the main part (2) about an axis of pivot (26) and a return spring (55) is provided between the main part (2) and the head part (3), thus enabling the head part (3) to be pivotable by means of the return spring (55) in synchronization with varying displacing forces that act on the head part (3) in the course of a hair-cutting operation, and to be positionable by means of the return spring (55) in a defined rest position relative to the main part (2) when there are no displacing forces present.
