  • Publication number: 20230214225
Abstract: Described approaches provide for effectively and scalably using multiple GPUs to build and probe hash tables and materialize results of probes. Random memory accesses by the GPUs to build and/or probe a hash table may be distributed across GPUs and executed concurrently using global location identifiers. A global location identifier may be computed from data of an entry and identify a global location for an insertion and/or probe using the entry. The global location identifier may be used by a GPU to determine whether to perform an insertion or probe using an entry and/or where the insertion or probe is to be performed. To coordinate GPUs in materializing results of probing a hash table a global offset to the global output buffer may be maintained in memory accessible to each of the GPUs or the GPUs may compute global offsets using an exclusive sum of the local output buffer sizes.

  • Publication number: 20210098958
Abstract: An optical assembly reduces a spectral bandwidth of an output beam of a laser. The assembly includes a beam-expanding optical unit within a laser resonator. The latter serves to increase a beam cross section of a resonator-internal laser beam in at least one expansion cross-sectional dimension such that at least one resonator-internal expansion laser beam section arises. The assembly also includes an optical grating in a retroreflective arrangement for the resonator-internal laser beam. A beam-limiting stop acts in the expansion cross-sectional dimension and is arranged in the beam path of the expansion laser beam section. This yields an optical assembly in which unwanted thermal effects on account of optical components of the optical assembly heating during laser operation due to a local power density of the resonator-internal laser beam are reduced or avoided.

  • Patent number: 10836221
Abstract: An electronic wheel unit for a wheel-monitoring system of a vehicle is disposed on one of the wheels and is configured to detect at least one wheel operating parameter of the wheel and to transmit wheel operating data telegrams according to a data transmission protocol wirelessly to a control device, configured to receive and evaluate the wheel operating data telegrams. The electronic control unit defines the data transmission protocol, which is to be used to transmit the wheel operating data telegrams, by using specification data which have previously been transmitted from the control device to the electronic wheel unit. Therefore, automatic adaptation of the data transmission protocol to the respective control device or the respective vehicle can advantageously take place. A control device for such a wheel monitoring system and a system and a method for monitoring wheels are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9905544
Abstract: In one embodiment, an LED bulb includes a plurality of metal lead frame strips, including at least a first strip, a second strip, and a third strip. First LED dies have their bottom electrodes electrically and thermally connected to a top surface of the first strip. Second LED dies have their bottom electrodes electrically and thermally connected to a top surface of the second strip. The top electrodes of the first LED dies are wire bonded to the second strip, and the top electrodes of the second LED dies are wire bonded to the third strip to connect the first LED dies and second LED dies in series and parallel. The strips are then bent to cause the LED dies to face different directions to obtain a wide emission pattern in a small space. The strips are then enclosed in a thermally conductive bulb having electrical leads.
