  • Publication number: 20240102855
Abstract: The invention relates to a beam analysis device (10) for determining the axial position of the focal point (71) of an energy beam or a sample beam (70) decoupled from an energy beam, comprising a beam-shaping device (12), a detector (40), and an analysis device (45). The beam-shaping device (12) is designed to release two sub-beams (72, 73) from the sample beam (70) on a plane of the sub-beam release process (19). The cross-sections of the two sub-beams (72, 73) are defined by sub-apertures (32, 33) which are delimited from each other and which are arranged at a distance k to each other in a first lateral direction (31). The beam-shaping device (12) is designed to image the two sub-beams (72, 73) in order to form two beam spots (92, 93) on the detector and deflect at least one of the two sub-beams (72, 73) in a second lateral direction (37) which is oriented transversely to the first lateral direction (31) in order to form a distance w in the second lateral direction (37) between the two beam spots (92, 93).

  • Patent number: 11814811
Abstract: A pile-driver assembly for driving a pile into the ground is disclosed. The assembly includes a casing defining a chamber configured to house a fluid; a positioning element configured to position the casing at or on the pile; and actuating means. Actuation of the actuating means displaces the chamber relative to the positioning element such that the chamber moves away from the pile to an elevated position. The actuating means is configured to release the chamber from the elevated position for displacement towards the pile such that a force is exerted by the chamber on the positioning member, to controllably drive the pile into the ground. The assembly further includes buffering means, the buffering means being configured to controllably buffer the force exerted by the chamber on the pile as the pile is driven into the ground. The buffering means is configured to rebound the chamber to a rebound position.

  • Patent number: 9363950
Abstract: The invention relates to a comminuting device (1) for comminuting vegetable material (8, 18). The comminuting device has a frame (2) which can be coupled to a vehicle (4) by means of a coupling element (20), a rotor (5) which is rotatably suspended in the frame (2) and provided with treatment elements (6), and a stator (7) which is attached to the frame (2) and provided with counter elements (13). In an operating position, this stator (7) is situated near a part of the circumference of the rotor (5) so as to leave clear another part of the circumference of the rotor (5) to which organic material (8) to be comminuted can be supplied. The vegetable material (8) is comminuted by rotating the treatment elements (6) and the counter elements (13) with respect to one another. The invention also relates to methods for comminuting vegetable material (8, 18) which is aboveground and/or belowground.

  • Publication number: 20110065791
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for preparing particles, which particles contain one or more spaces in which a gas phase is present which comprises at least one active ingredient, in particular at least one aroma, flavor or precursor for an aroma or flavor, and which space or spaces are at least substantially surrounded by an enveloping phase which at ambient temperature is at least substantially solid and at least substantially impermeable to the active ingredient, comprising allowing the gaseous active ingredient to migrate from or through the enveloping phase into the space or spaces at a temperature at which the enveloping phase is permeable to the gaseous active ingredient; and then cooling the particles to a temperature at which the enveloping phase of the particles is at least substantially impermeable to the active ingredient in the particles.

  • Publication number: 20090205019
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of accessing a network service via a mobile end device of a user in a wireless network wherein a first localisation procedure is performed in order to ascertain a position of the mobile end device. The availability of the network service is determined if the mobile and device is within or is about to enter a predetermined zone in which the network service is available. Then, the number of users of said network service in said zone is determined by using a second localisation procedure. Dependent on the number of users of the network service in said zone, one or more parameters for access of the network service by the mobile end user are set.
