The melt polycarbonate is produced by transesterifying a diaryl carbonate and a dihydroxy compound in the presence of a catalyst system to form an intermediate aromatic polycarbonate, wherein the catalyst system comprises a first catalyst selected from the group consisting of alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts; and a second catalyst selected from the group consisting of quaternary ammonium compounds and quaternary phosphonium compounds; adding to said intermediate aromatic polycarbonate a catalyst quencher, and rotation molding the aromatic polycarbonate at a temperature from about 305° C. to about 360° C. Also disclosed are polycarbonate light diffusive articles produced by rotation molding.
