The image sequence is provided at an image sequence frequency of greater than 24 Hz and includes at least one reference image for uniformly lighting the route, the vehicle camera is synchronized to the reference image, the advisory route accoutrement and information data associated with the advisory route accoutrement are ascertained from the provided camera data, the associated information data are compared with data of a database, and the control signal is ascertained based on the comparison.
