Abstract: The present invention relates to system for suspending a skid pan from a winch mounted on a tractor. The skid pan 2 is pivotably suspended from the winch frame 1 by a bolt 3. Stoppers 5 are fastened to the winch frame 1 in order to prevent the skid pan from swinging forward in the normal driving direction of the tractor. The skid pan can be locked in vertical position by a second bolts 4 which can be put into corresponding holes 6 in the skid pan 2 and the which frame 1.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a feed device for guiding rope onto a winding drum mounted on a frame 3. The device comprises a first guide pulley 5 which is mounted on the frame 3 between the winding drum 1 and a fixed frame pulley 4, and a second guide pulley 7 which is mounted at the upper end of an arm 6. The arm 6 is pivoted to the frame 3 at its lower end at a point below the first guide pulley 5.

The device comprises a pendulum 4 which is spherically pivoted at its upper end to the frame 6 above the drum 1 and at its lower end has secured a roller 7 intended to roll on a curved path 8 on a flange 9 mounted on the frame 6. The pendulum has at least one guide pulley 11 for the rope 2.

Abstract: The drum of a hoisting apparatus is axially shifted to frictionally engage a driving plate. The drum is shifted by rotating an adjacent, first disc about the drum axis relative to a coaxial stationary disc. Each of the discs has three holes of a particular configuration to define three cooperative pairs of holes. Each cooperative pair of holes receives a dowel of predetermined length so that rotation of the first disc causes the dowel to react against the discs and shift the first disc and drum away from the stationary disc and into frictional driving engagement with the driving plate.
