  • Patent number: 6030370
Abstract: In the performance of vascular anastomosis, in order to improve and simplify the making of the connection between the vessels, a surgical instrument is proposed which is characterized by a tubular shaft closed at the front end thereof, with an outer diameter which enables introduction into one of the vessels, with suction openings in the wall of the shaft in the area of the front end thereof, and with a suction connection on the shaft at a distance from the front end thereof.

  • Patent number: 5423795
Abstract: A resectoscope has a shaft and a lock body which is slidable along the shaft and to which the proximal end portion of a resection electrode can be fixed. A handle is provided for displacing the lock body and thus the electrode along the shaft. The handle consists of a first portion connected to the lock body and projecting radially outwardly of the lock body and a second portion connected to the shaft, for engagement by a thumb of the user of the resectoscope. The first portion of the handle is formed as a disc provided with gripping aids for the user's fingers.

  • Patent number: 4829858
Abstract: In order to ergonomically optimize the hand side of combination pliers, whose gripping arms in each case form a mouth jaw on their ends and are in operative connection by means of a joint in such a way that in the case of different activities with the pliers the adaptation of the gripping arms to the anatomy and anthropometry of the human hand is retained, it is proposed that the gripping arms face one another elliptically in the plane thereof and that in the vicinity of the coupling surface to the hand the gripping arms have an elliptical cross-section.

  • Patent number: 4748876
Abstract: Prior universal pliers with two gripping arms (11, 15) and an adjustable jaw have the disadvantage that during adjustment one must change hands while using the pliers which is unfavourable as regards the economic requirements. This disadvantage is obviated by the present invention in that both gripping arms (11, 15) are non-displaceably articulated on one another and one of the two jaws (19) is displaceably mounted with respect to its associated gripping arm (15) at right angles to the jaw opening.

  • Patent number: 4739536
Abstract: A handle for tools, specifically for screwdrivers, is disclosed. The handle consists of two materials of different hardness, of which the harder material supporting the tool is incompressible under the forces occurring at operational load, whereas the other material permits slight elastic deformations under forces of load. In order to obtain a hand-sympathetic design which nevertheless transmits high torques, the two gripping zones of softer material are situated adjacent to a gripping zone of harder material located between them.

  • Patent number: 4073058
Abstract: A pair of barber scissors with coplanar finger rings with scissors halves of different lengths in the region of the finger rings has a connective bolt which makes an angle of approximately 75.degree. with the plane of the finger rings. The slightly inclined cutting angle allows cutting quite near a guide comb and permits a more natural position of the hand on the scissors.

  • Patent number: 3971094
Abstract: A paint roller or ceiling brush handle which is specially adapted to fit an individual's grip and accordingly has two curved circumferential surfaces forming two of the opposite gripping surfaces, such surfaces being joined by opposite circumferentially arched surfaces, convexly shaped. Brush handle is proportioned to be of a length substantially equal to an average adult hand width and the handle is proportioned to fit anatomically the grip of the holder.
