  • Publication number: 20240175479
Abstract: A positioning system for moving or positioning a moveable object, the system including: a dynamic support system including a reaction mass, a first support, a first spring system to support the reaction mass from the first support, a second support, a second spring system to support the first support from the second support, and a damping system to provide damping to the dynamic support system; and an actuator for generating a driving force between the moveable object and the reaction mass for moving or position the object, wherein a first eigenfrequency and a second eigenfrequency of the dynamic support system are substantially the same.

  • Publication number: 20080072731
Abstract: In a circular saw blade which includes expansion and vibration damping slots, the slots have parallel side walls with an inclination with respect to the circular saw surface which inclination changes over the length of the slots.

  • Patent number: 6039096
Abstract: The invention concerns a milling tool (10) with reduced noise emission for machining panel-like pieces of wood. The reduction in noise emission is brought about by reducing the vibrations produced in the tool and workpiece and by proportioning the cut, machining being carried out in two stages. The greatest part of the chip volume (first stage) is removed under favorable noise-emission conditions using a special cutting geometry. The tool and workpiece vibrations are reduced by a clearly reduced rise in the shear force pulse using a special cutting tooth geometry. The chip volume removed under these conditions is only small (second stage), and so good quality machining can be attained.

  • Patent number: 4266893
Abstract: A rotary tool is rotationally coupled to but axially slidable along a shaft that is driven by a motor. This tool is biased axially in one direction by a compression spring on the shaft and in the opposite direction engages via a thrust bearing on a force-transmission member. A spindle threaded in the machine housing engages this force-transmission member via a ball centered on the axis so that when the spindle is screwed relative to the housing it can axially displace this force-transmission member against the force of the spring to position it.
