  • Patent number: 12224773
Abstract: An apparatus comprising an encoder is configured to: detect a first edge in the input signal and, in response, provide a pulse generation sequence comprising the encoder being configured to: generate, in the output signal, a first pulse, wherein the first pulse is provided over first and second minimum time periods irrespective of an edge subsequent the first edge being present in the input signal; and obtain a first sample of the input signal; and obtain a second sample at an end of the first pulse; and if the first sample and the second sample are indicative of different voltage levels, generate a second pulse; or if the first and second sample and the same maintain the voltage level in the output signal.

  • Patent number: 11674932
Abstract: A flexible ultrasonic transducer comprising a flexible metal plate, a piezoelectric ceramics element, a first electrical conductor and an insulation covering a portion of the metal plate. The metal plate comprises a first and a second outer surface opposite each other. The piezoelectric ceramics element is attached to the first outer surface, a first portion of the first outer surface is not covered with the piezoelectric ceramics element, and the first electrical conductor is attached to a first portion of the second outer surface or the first portion of the first outer surface. The first portion of the first outer surface and the first portion of the second outer surface have similar dimensions and positions and the insulation covering covers the first portion of the first outer surface so that the piezoelectric ceramics element is directly dry coupled an object to be inspected by means of the transducer.

  • Publication number: 20060293313
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel group of phenylpiperazines having interesting pharmacological properties such as a high affinity for the dopamine D2 receptor and/or the serotonin reuptake site, and the ability to treat conditions related to disturbances in the dopaminergic and/or the serotonergic systems such as anxiety disorders, depression, Parkinson's disease, and schizophrenia. The invention relates to a group of novel phenylpiperazine derivatives of the formula (I): wherein: X is a group of formula 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 as defined in the text, m has the value 2 to 6; n has the value 0-2; R5 and R6 are independently H or alkyl (1-3C); or R5+R6 represent a group —(CH2)—p wherein p has the value 3-5, and R7 is alkyl (1-3C), alkoxy (1-3C), halogen or cyano; or R6+R7 (R7 at position 7 of the indole group) represent a group —(CH2)q wherein q has the value 2-4, and salts thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060166969
Abstract: The disclosure relates to the use of 8,9-dimethyl-5-phenyl-11H-1,3-dioxolo[4,5-h]-imidazo[1,2-c][2,3]benzodiazepine: prodrugs, tautomers and N-oxides thereof, as well as pharmacologically acceptable salts, hydrates and solvates of the foregoing, for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment, amelioration or prevention of dizziness, including vertigo and Menière's disorder.

  • Publication number: 20060089366
Abstract: The invention relates to a group of novel piperazine and piperidine derivatives of the formula wherein Y is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl (1-3C), or CN, CF3, OCF3, SCF3, alkoxy(1-3C), amino or mono- or dialkyl(1-3C) substituted amino or hydroxy, X is O, S, SO or SO2, ---Z represents -C, =C or -N, R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen or alkyl (1-3C), Q is benzyl or 2-, 3- or 4-pyridylmethyl, wich groups may be substited with one or more more substituents from the group halogen, nitro, cyano, amino, mono- or di (1-3C)alkylamino, (1-3C) alkoxy, CF3, OCF3, SCF3, (1-4C)-alkyl, (1-3C)alkylsulfonyl or hydroxy, and salts and prodrugs thereof. It has been found that these compounds have interesting pharmacological properties due to a combination of (partial) agonism towards the members of the dopamine D2-receptor subfamily and affinity for relevant serotonin and/or noradrenergic receptors.

  • Patent number: 5000383
Abstract: An air freshening device having an openable outer housing that, when open, activates the air freshening device by pulling an emanator out of a fluid reservoir and, when closed, seals the fluid reservoir from either evaporation or leakage. The activation and deactivation are accomplished by the use of a hooking pin within the upper housing which engages the emanator portion and pulls the wicking stem of the emanator out of the fluid reservoir. An air channel is exposed in the open position and closed off in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4068782
Abstract: A valve actuating device for use with pressurized aerosol containers of the type having tilt actuatable valves. The device includes an actuator-overcap which defines an access opening for a tiltable valve stem and has a main portion adjacent the container and a finger-depressible tab portion hinged at one end to the main portion and having its other end adjacent the stem such that the stem is tilted thereby when the tab is depressed in a direction along the stem axis. In certain preferred embodiments, the valve stem includes a spray member and the access opening is defined within the tab portion.
