  • Publication number: 20240102977
Abstract: The present technology relates to a method and instrument for classifying a sample. The method collects raw data from an analytical instrument (e.g., LC-MS), quantifies consistency parameters from the raw chromatographic data (e.g., peak detection) by assigning criteria and determining probability ratios, and constructs a learning model quantitation step by weighing the presence, absence, or modulation of one or more factors of the one or more samples against a decision criterion for positivity. The method can then apply the learning model to an unknown sample to detect the presence, absence, or modulation of one or more factors in the unknown sample such as the presence, absence, or modulation of a disease state or multiple disease states.

  • Publication number: 20230298706
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments pertain to methods, mediums, and systems for using molecular properties of chemical compounds to quantify error or variation in collision cross-section predictions. For example, the CCS prediction may determine a location of charge on the compound, and the molecular properties (such as the length normalized residue value or Van der Waals volume of the compound) may be used to assign an error value to the prediction. These error values may be used to build a model of the chemical compound using the error or variance, where the compound is capable of exhibiting more than one value for the CCS value.

  • Publication number: 20220233757
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in the field of preparing a catheter for use in a patient, in particular a catheter of an intravascular blood pump, more specifically for properly purging and de-airing the catheter. The catheter comprises an elongate tubular portion and a connected device. The elongate tubular portion is configured to be inserted into a patient's blood vessel and defines a lumen. The connected device is connected to the elongate tubular portion and has a cavity, which may accommodate a drive unit of the blood pump, and which is in fluid communication with the lumen of the elongate tubular portion. In order to securely de-air the system, a sensor, such as an accelerometer, for detecting an orientation of the connected device is provided, and a user may be guided to correct the orientation of the connected device for proper purging.
