  • Publication number: 20240416905
Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a plurality of exterior-viewing cameras disposed at a vehicle. The plurality of exterior-viewing cameras comprises at least one rearward-viewing camera and a forward-viewing camera. At least in part via processing at an electronic control unit (ECU) of image data captured by the cameras and transferred to the ECU, the vehicular control system (i) determines a traffic lane that the equipped vehicle is traveling in on the road the equipped vehicle is traveling along and (ii) detects a trailing vehicle present rearward of the equipped vehicle and approaching the equipped vehicle in the same traffic lane that the equipped vehicle is traveling in on the road the equipped vehicle is traveling along. The vehicular control system controls the equipped vehicle to mitigate impact by the trailing vehicle. The forward-viewing camera captures image data for at least one driving assist system of the equipped vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12129928
Abstract: A standstill seal prevents leakage of a process fluid when a shaft is not rotating. The seal includes a flexible band surrounding the shaft that includes a thick, substantially rectangular center region from which thinner side regions extend. Application of pressurized control fluid to a rear surface of the band causes the central region to extend through a gap between cover plates to form a seal with the shaft or an intermediate structure. Depressurizing of the control fluid causes the central region to be withdrawn from the shaft, either entirely due to elasticity of the band, or with the assistance of springs. In various embodiments, the seal is formed radially inward or axially. The side regions can be substantially flat or curved. The standstill seal can be unitary with a rotating shaft seal, and can be upstream or downstream thereof. The control fluid can be the process fluid.

  • Patent number: 11503251
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and having respective exterior fields of view, and a display screen for displaying images derived from captured image data in a surround view format where captured image data is merged to provide a single composite display image from a virtual viewing position. A control includes a processor that processes image data captured by the cameras to detect an object present in the field of view of at least one of the cameras. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, the display screen displays surround view video images and responsive to detection of the object, the display screen displays an enlarged view of the detected object.

  • Patent number: 11485358
Abstract: A vehicular collision avoidance system includes a forward-viewing camera, a rearward-viewing camera, a rearward-sensing non-vision sensor and an electronic control unit. The vehicular collision avoidance system detects vehicles present forward and/or rearward of the equipped vehicle. Responsive to at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) data processing of image data captured by the rearward-viewing camera and (ii) data processing of sensor data captured by the rearward-sensing non-vision sensor, the vehicular collision avoidance system detects another vehicle approaching the equipped vehicle from the rear, determines that the other vehicle is traveling in the same traffic lane as the equipped vehicle, determines speed difference between the vehicles, and determines distance from the equipped vehicle to the other vehicle. Based on such determinations, the system determines that impact with the equipped vehicle by the other vehicle is imminent.
