Abstract: An internal combustion engine for a vehicle includes: an oil tank defining an oil reservoir; a pump to pump oil from the oil reservoir to lubricate parts of the engine; and a cyclonic separator disposed within the oil tank and configured to separate gas from oil received therein, the cyclonic separator defining an internal separator chamber for circulation of oil therein, the cyclonic separator comprising: a vortex forming portion configured to cause oil flowing therethrough within the internal separator chamber to define a spiral path in order to separate at least part of a gas content therefrom; an oil inlet for receiving oil into the internal separator chamber, the oil inlet being fluidly connected to the pump; an oil outlet for discharging oil from the internal separator chamber and into the oil reservoir of the oil tank; and a gas outlet for discharging gas from the internal separator chamber.

Abstract: A turbocharger for an internal combustion engine has: a turbine comprising a turbine wheel, the turbine wheel having a plurality of turbine blades, the turbine wheel rotating about a turbine axis; and a compressor having a compressor wheel, the compressor wheel being operatively connected to and driven by the turbine wheel, the compressor wheel rotating about a compressor axis, the compressor wheel comprising a plurality of compressor blades, the compressor wheel defining a plurality of passages, each passage of the plurality of passages having a front end opened in a front of the compressor wheel and a rear end opened in a rear of the compressor wheel.

Abstract: A method for producing a sponge metal from metal ore or iron ore which comprises reacting said metal ore or iron ore in a reduction zone with a CO— and H2-containing, reducing feed gas source which has been compressed, and after said reaction, withdrawing the remaining feed gas as an export gas from the reduction zone, wherein the CO— and H2-containing feed gas is introduced into the reduction zone form at least to gas sources, whereby upon a breakdown of one of the feed gas sources, at least a portion of the export gas recovered from the reduction zone is compressed, subjected to CO2 elimination recycled to the reduction zone together with the reducing feed gas.
