  • Patent number: 7909479
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting arrangement for illuminating a surface. The lighting arrangement has a supporting element and a lighting unit (1) which is supported by the supporting element. The lighting unit (1) has a housing (2) which is designed to accommodate a solid-state light source (4). The housing is also transparent on at least one side. The solid-state light source (4) is suitable for generating light having wavelengths from a first wavelength region and a second wavelength region. The first wavelength region comprises wavelengths of 500-550 nm. The second wavelength region comprises wavelengths of 560-610 nm. The lighting unit (1) is designed to generate light having a dominant wavelength from the first wavelength region in such a way that the eye sensitivity of the human eye is dominated by rods.

  • Patent number: 7911118
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat sink (1) for cooling a light element. The heat sink (1) has a thermally conducting inner part (2) suitable for accommodating the light element. The heat sink (1) additionally has a thermally conducting outer part (3) which encloses the inner part in at least one plane. The at least one light element is galvanically shielded from the thermally conducting inner part. The inner part (2) and the outer part (3) can be joined to one another via at least one thermally conducting bridging link (4) in such a way that there is at least one opening (5) between the inner part (2) and the outer part (3).

  • Publication number: 20090009100
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactive circuit for correction of a power factor in an electrical network. The reactive circuit has at least one supply connection for supplying an alternating power supply (1) current and an input stage that is connected to the at least one supply connection. The reactive circuit is furthermore provided with one or more LEDs (12, 13). In use, the reactive circuit has an essentially reactive input impedance and the input stage generates a correction current. The reactive circuit is set up for lighting a space by loading the one or more LEDs with the at least nearly full correction current.
