    Abstract: A belt retainer for securing the belt of a disposable sterile operating room gown comprises a generally rectangular strip of semi-rigid deformable material having a continuous belt retaining and locking cutout slot therein. The cutout slot defines a central upwardly extending tab, a narrow downwardly extending tab extension connected to the central tab adjacent one side edge of the central tab, and a side downwardly extending tab positioned adjacent the opposite side edge of the central tab.
