  • Patent number: 11298435
Abstract: Methods and systems for a catheter access port cleaning, disinfection or sterilization device are disclosed. The catheter access port cleaning, disinfection or sterilization device may comprise, a first housing having a power source and control circuit; a second housing shaped to mate with a catheter and having a first ultra-violet light source mounted therein, the first housing wired to the second housing to power the light source. When activated, the ultra-violet light source emits ultra-violet radiation that is transmitted from the second housing to the catheter attached to a patient. In this way, the device provides an efficient system for cleaning, disinfecting or sterilizing an access port in the second housing while reducing patient infections.

  • Patent number: 11286973
Abstract: An automatic carabiner gate locking system and method of operation. The system includes a frame, a gate, a gate biasing system, and a gate locking system. The gate locking system further includes a set of rotatable latching sleeves disposed over the gate. When the gate is in the closed state, the latching sleeves independently rotate between an unlocked state in which the gate is free to pivot and a locked state in which the gate may be prevented from pivoting with respect to the frame. The locked state further includes rotationally orienting the latching sleeves over the gate frame coupling region. The unlocked state further includes rotationally separating the latching sleeves to expose a locking recess over the gate recess, thereby allowing the gate to pivot. A second embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of automatically locking a carabiner gate.

  • Publication number: 20220072873
Abstract: An aqueous ink printer is operated to insert media sheets from a first supply tray into a plurality of media sheets from a second tray on which ink images are being formed by the printer to absorb condensed vapors on media guides. The media sheets from the first tray are uncoated media and the media sheets from the second tray are coated media. In some embodiments, the inserted media sheets are printed with an ink image that has areas that contact the media guides with a greater ink density than other areas of the ink image that do not contact the media guides. Additionally or alternatively, the inserted media sheets are printed with an ink image that has areas that contact the media guides with an ink color that is different than an ink color used in other areas of the ink image that do not contact the media guides.

  • Patent number: 11252149
Abstract: A resource of a dialog-driven management service is allocated for a first set of requests based on determining that a population of capacity indicators in a throttling data structure exceeds a threshold. One or more capacity indicator deduction iterations associated with the resource are conducted during a time interval for which the resource remains allocated for the first set of requests. In a given iteration, a number of capacity indicators is deducted from the throttling data structure based on a resource throttling setting. A second set of requests is rejected based on the population of the throttling data structure.

  • Patent number: 11250203
Abstract: Images stored in an information repository are prepared for browsing. For each image in the repository, text in the repository is mined to extract snippets of text about the image which are semantically relevant to the image, and for each of these snippets of text, keyterms are detected in the snippet of text which represent either concepts that are related to the image or entities that are related to the image, and the snippet of text and keyterms are associated with the image. Each keyterm that is associated with each image in the repository is hyperlinked to each other image in the repository that has this keyterm associated therewith. A graphical user interface allows a user to browse the images in the repository by using their associated snippets of text and hyperlinked keyterms.

  • Patent number: 11052678
Abstract: An inkjet printer includes a dryer configured to attenuate cockle in the substrates under the heater of the dryer and reduce ink transfer from ink images during duplex printing without adversely affecting the cooling of the substrates exiting the dryer. The dryer has at least two plenums with at least one plenum opposite a heater and at least one plenum opposite an air vent. A platen covers the plenum opposite the air vent and the platen has a plurality of protuberances arranged in a non-linear arrangement so the protuberances contact substrates being carried by a plurality of endless belts over the plenum to prevent the substrates from contacting a surface of the platen. Another platen covers the plenum opposite the heater and this platen has non-linear members on its surface to support the substrates and reduce cockle while the ink is dried by the heater.

  • Patent number: 10994704
Abstract: A transport vehicle spray apparatus. The transport vehicle spray apparatus has at least one storage tank. A pump transports material from the storage tank through at least one filter and a manifold to at least one spray bar. The spray bar incorporates spray nozzles through which the material from the storage tank is dispensed. In one embodiment, the spray bar is connected to a collapsible frame on the top and back of the transport vehicle storage space. The collapsible frame can expand and collapse by sliding along the length of the walls of the transport vehicle storage space. As the frame expands and collapses, the spray bar coats the interior surfaces of the transport vehicle storage space with the material from the storage tank. The transport vehicle spray apparatus is utilized to spray and coat the walls of a transport vehicle's storage space with a desired fluid.
