Publication number: 20160343375Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing digital recordings of the human voice in order to find characteristics unique to an individual. A biometrics engine may use an analytics service in a contact center to supply audio streams based on configured rules and providers for biometric detection. The analytics service may provide call audio data and attributes to connected engines based on a provider-set of selection rules. The connected providers send call audio data and attributes through the analytics service. The engines are notified when a new call is available for processing and can then retrieve chunks of audio data and call attributes by polling an analytics service interface. A mathematical model of the human vocal tract in the call audio data is created and/or matched against existing models. The result is analogous to a fingerprint, i.e., a pattern unique to an individual to within some level of probability.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2016Publication date: November 24, 2016Inventors: Jamie Richard Williams, Robert John Barnes, Ian Linsdell, Scott M. Bluman

Patent number: 9462238Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring a remote agent. An agent's workstation may be provided with an application that receives a trigger condition at an agent workstation during a communication between the remote agent and a caller. During the communication, it may be determined if video imagery of the remote agent is required. If so, video imagery capture may be triggered. The video imagery may be associated with activities of the remote agent during the capture, and the video imagery stored at a recorder for later playback.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2010Date of Patent: October 4, 2016Assignee: Verint Americas Inc.Inventor: Robert John Barnes

The linear cutting guide (100) can be adjustably fastened to the positioning means (300) at a variably selected angle. The positioning device (300) can be positioned and held against the object purely by the manual force of the user, which includes force with which the user pushes the power saw forwards along the cutting-guide to cut the object. The pivot point (400) is located a distance (y) away from the leading edge of the linear cutting-guide (100) to provide improved performance.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2005Date of Patent: January 29, 2013Inventor: Nicholas John Barnes
