  • Publication number: 20230253634
Abstract: A battery pack comprises a pair of physically separate battery cells share a single protection circuit module (PCM). Each further saw comprises a respective pair of electrodes, with both pairs of electrodes being connected to a single, common protection circuit board (PCB) of the PCM. The common PCM may be located in a spacing between adjacent ends of the batteries such that a widthwise dimension of the PCB has an upright orientation between the two batteries.

  • Patent number: 11721881
Abstract: An antenna system comprises a combination of a loop antenna and a non-loop antenna. The loop antenna and the non-loop antenna is connected in common to a transceiver mechanism or signal feed mechanism. The non-loop antenna is in some embodiments provided by a dipole conductor. An eye-wear device incorporates the antenna system, a loop conductor and a dipole conductor of the antenna system being integrated in a body of the eyewear device. The loop conductor may be provided by a lens ring that extends around a lens held by the body. The lens ring may serve both as loop conductor and as a lens retention mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11696423
Abstract: An immersion cooling system includes an electronic component, a thermally conductive dielectric liquid, and a tank defining a tank interior configured to receive the electronic component and the thermally conductive dielectric liquid for cooling the electronic component. The immersion cooling system also includes a wall positioned external to the tank to coordinate with the tank to define an overflow gap extending between the tank and the wall. The overflow gap is configured to receive an overflow of the thermally conductive dielectric liquid from the tank interior.

  • Patent number: 11650435
Abstract: Eyewear devices including a tether and methods for identifying proper installation of the tether are disclosed. An eyewear device includes transmission lines extending through the temples to electrical and electronic components positioned adjacent to edges of a frame. A tether is attached to the temples to enable power and communication flow between the electrical and electronic components rather than through the frame. Proper installation is identified based on communications passing between the electrical and electronic components via the tether.

  • Publication number: 20230135377
Abstract: Three-dimensional image calibration and presentation for eyewear including a pair of image capture devices is described. Calibration and presentation includes obtaining a calibration offset to accommodate flexure in the support structure for the eyewear, adjusting a three-dimensional rendering offset by the obtained calibration offset, and presenting the stereoscopic images using the three-dimension rendering offset.

  • Publication number: 20230131070
Abstract: An electronic eyewear device having a thermal management device including a vapor chamber in the temples. The temples may have a sheet metal portion thermally connected to heat generating electronics, wherein the vapor chamber is thermally coupled to the sheet metal along a length thereof to disperse heat generated by the electronics. The sheet metal and the vapor chamber may be encompassed by a non-thermally conducting material, such as being over molded by a silicone material, to prevent user contact with the heated sheet metal and vapor chamber. The sheet metal and the vapor chamber are generally planar and lightweight, and they are bent to bias the temples against a user's head when worn to provide preloading.

  • Publication number: 20230093458
Abstract: A secondary battery pack comprises a battery and a protection circuit module (PCM), a pair of electrodes of the battery being connected to a protection circuit board (PCB) forming part of the PCM such that the electrode connections are located on a face of the PCB other than a major face that receives PCM components thereon. In some embodiments, the PCM components are mounted on one of a pair of major faces of the PCB, the electrode connections being located on the opposite one of the major faces. In other embodiments, the electrode connections are located on a peripheral edge face that extends transversely between the pair of major outer faces of the PCB. The spatial arrangement of the electrode connections and the PCM components on the PCB is such that substantially the entirety of one major outer face of the PCB is available for the placement of PCM components.

  • Publication number: 20230052836
Abstract: A shim or badge is affixed to a golf club body to produce a cap-back iron, giving the appearance of a hollow-body iron. In this way, the golf club can be manufactured with the performance benefits of a game improvement iron, while providing the appearance of a blade, player's iron, and/or a hollow-body iron. For example, by using a lightweight and rigid shim or badge to close a cavity opening and extend into the toe portion in the golf club body, the golf club head can provide increased stiffness in the topline, while lowering CG. Various shim or badge arrangements and materials can be used, and a filler material and/or damper can be included within the cavity to improve sound and feel, while minimizing loss in COR.

  • Patent number: 11486552
Abstract: A method is described for deploying one or more illumination devices. The or each illumination device is self-contained and has a first state in which it is inoperative and a second state in which it is operative to provide illumination at at least one frequency within the range from and including infrared to and including ultraviolet. The method comprises the steps, optionally repeated at intervals, of: actuating a mechanism to move a said illumination device from a housing storing one or more illumination devices to an exposed position outside the housing; and automatically changing the state of the illumination device from its first state to its second state as a direct result of movement of the illumination device from within the housing to the exposed position.

  • Publication number: 20220331675
Abstract: A damper is provided within the cavity of a golf club head and spans substantially the full length of the striking face from heel-to-toe of the golf club head. One or more cutouts and/or other relief is provided in the damper to reduce the surface area of the damper that contacts thep rear surface of the striking face. By reducing the surface area that the damper contacts the rear surface of the striking face, the full length damper improves the sound and feel of the golf club head at impact and only minimally reduces performance of the golf club head. For example, the one or more cutouts and/or other relief maintains face flexibility, characteristic time (CT) and coefficient of restitution (COR) of the striking face.

  • Publication number: 20220329776
Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for capturing and sharing visual content, especially three-dimensional video, with a plurality of users with compatible devices. The methods in some implementations include transmitting the visual content to a portable projector, generating a unique invite and broadcasting it to a plurality of eyewear devices, and projecting the visual content onto a screen for viewers who accepted the invite and are wearing a compatible eyewear device. For projection in 3D format, the eyewear devices include an active shutter mode. The portable projector may be housed in the interior of a case. In some configurations, the case interior is sized and shaped to support the projector and an eyewear device. The system may include multiple projectors at remote locations directed to project the visual content simultaneously.
