Abstract: A Digital Guide System (DGS) assembles and delivers contextual, narrative content information to an end-user requiring a guided or self-guided tour of a physical space. DGS consists of a Content Management System application (CMS), a Channel Administration application (CA), a Content Repository (CR) and a Channel Device application (CDA). CMS allows developers to build content information in discrete narratives using a modular story-building methodology. The CMS stores all information relevant to editorial control and content development in the CR. The CA is a browser-based registration and device management application that delivers content information to devices in channels designated for that content information by the CMS. The CDA allows the user to navigate through the content information using the modular story based organization and collects usage information in a user log for transmittal to the CA.

Abstract: A cross-world framework for providing integrated scheduling and reservation of virtual resources. Users are allowed to access the scheduling application from a website or an in-world interface. According to one embodiment, the framework uses the iCal industry standard calendaring format, and includes user configurable cross-channel notifications.

Abstract: A method and system for automatically synchronizing a connection to a new contact across a plurality of social networking websites. A repository stores a first user's profile that includes the first user's identifiers for multiple social networking websites (SNs) and the first user's master list of contacts. An alert is presented to the first user, where the alert indicates a request from a second user to establish a connection in a first SN between the first user and the second user. The first user approves the request to establish the connection in the first SN. If a search of the repository finds the second user's profile, then (1) connection(s) between the first user and second user are established in other social networking websites in which said first user participates and (2) the second user is added to the first user's master list of contacts.

Abstract: A Tag Cloud Customizer (TCC) provides an interactive legend and a tag cloud generator that allows a user to customize a tag cloud. The interactive legend allows users to map custom display characteristics to a plurality of tag attributes. The tag cloud generator creates a custom tag cloud using the custom display characteristics. The user can also sort the order of tags in the tag cloud by any of the plurality of tag attributes. In one embodiment of TCC, the user can define a custom tag attribute.
