  • Publication number: 20190122437
Abstract: In an AR environment in which the pointing direction of the video camera is slaved to field technician motion to capture a video signal within a camera FOV of an object at arm's length from the technician and remotely-generated hand gestures for manipulation of the object are overlaid on the video signal to instruct the technician in manipulation of the object, a customer-defined key code and FOV limitations are used to exclude portions of a scene for data capture and transmission compliance. If the video camera pointing direction does not satisfy an alignment condition to a marker in the scene, the camera is controlled to exclude at least a portion of the camera FOV that lies outside a user-defined allowable FOV from capture within the video signal. The customer-defined key code includes at least technician identification, marker pairing and specified tolerance fields that define the allowable FOV.

  • Publication number: 20190084739
Abstract: A zip tie operable with one hand comprising a head having a channel defined by a first top wall, a second top wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall, a second sidewall, a front wall and an end wall. The first top wall and the second top wall are configured to cooperate to provide a top access to the channel. Teeth are disposed on an inner wall of the channel transverse to a longitudinal axis of the channel and an elongated member extends from the head. The elongated member has a distal section having a serrated section, a starter cord and a pull tab. The starter cord is insertable into the channel typically through the top access and the pull tag enables pulling of the elongated member through the channel while the one or more teeth engage with the serrated section to prevent the zip tie from getting undone.

  • Publication number: 20180116341
Abstract: The present invention is for a slip resistant shoelace comprising a shoelace tube and one or more friction inducing features such as a plurality of bumps made or rubber or silicone disposed over at least a portion of the length of the shoelace tube. The bumps can also be disposed over a rope in any desired manner to make it a slippage resistant rope. The plurality of bumps, when come in contact with each other or with any other surfaces in a tied knot, offer higher co-efficient of friction and thus resist slipping of the knot. A knot tied with the slip-resistant shoelace or the slip-resistant rope prevents slipping and from getting loosened and untied inadvertently.

  • Patent number: 9888744
Abstract: The present invention is for a slip resistant shoelace comprising a shoelace tube and one or more friction inducing features such as a plurality of beads placed inside the shoelace tube. The plurality of beads of the shoelace interlock with each other while in a knot and thus resist slipping of the knot in the slip resistant shoe lace. The interlocking occurs as one or more beads of the plurality of beads of one section of the slip resistant shoelace fit in space available between two consecutive beads of the plurality of beads of another section of the slip resistant shoelace which are passing over each other in the knot. The interlocking prevents the shoelace from getting loosened and untied inadvertently. The slip resistant shoelace can be tied and untied in the traditional manner.

  • Patent number: 9412280
Abstract: A system for delivery of payload at a precise location by autonomous delivery vehicle. A machine-readable unique identifier is laid at a place where a user wants delivery of an item. User opens a precise delivery app on smartphone, activates the scanner and standing near the unique identifier scans it. Precise delivery app reads the unique identity of the unique identifier and collects the geophysical location of the smartphone. Third party system feeds this information of the target unique identifier to the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous delivery vehicle includes a first prior art navigator and a second scanner navigator. The autonomous vehicle determines its route to the approximate location of the target unique identifier with the help of the first prior art navigator and the second scanner navigator scans every unique identifier that may be present around that location and guides the autonomous vehicle to the target unique identifier.

  • Patent number: 9187979
Abstract: The extraction of hydrocarbon fuel products such as kerogen oil and gas from a body of fixed fossil fuels such as oil shale is accomplished by applying a combination of electrical energy and critical fluids with reactants and/or catalysts down a borehole to initiate a reaction of reactants in the critical fluids with kerogen in the oil shale thereby raising the temperatures to cause kerogen oil and gas products to be extracted as a vapor, liquid or dissolved in the critical fluids. The hydrocarbon fuel products of kerogen oil or shale oil and hydrocarbon gas are removed to the ground surface by a product return line. An RF generator provides electromagnetic energy, and the critical fluids include a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2), with reactants of nitrous oxide (N2O) or oxygen (O2).

  • Patent number: 8527316
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for reducing risk to a firm and firm program and, more particularly, to reducing risk and improving yield or performance by considering firm strategic intent, phase, and integrated visuals. The current invention identifies, quantifies, and integrates strategic intent into the risk mitigation procedure by modifying the consequence chart, by dividing the program into phases, and by depicting risk related metrics, including strategic intent, that are associated with the risk element, the program, and/or the firm in a three dimensional graph.

  • Publication number: 20120138539
Abstract: The extraction of hydrocarbons or other contaminates from a body of water or fluids is accomplished by distributing recovery particles with an affinity for hydrocarbons (or an affinity specifically designed for the contaminate of concern) into the contaminated body of fluids, allowing for adherence between the particle and the contaminate, and subsequent removal of the contaminate/recovery particle matrix by use of a magnet or other mechanical or electromechanical or electrochemical means to subsequently attract the contaminate/recovery particle matrix to a fixed point, removing them from the body of fluids (obtaining high volumetric removal efficiency) and providing equipment to separate the contaminate/recovery particle matrix from the equipment preparing the equipment for reuse and subsequently separating the contaminate from the recovery particle for reuse of the particle if desired and eventual disposition of the contaminate.

  • Patent number: 7875120
Abstract: A method of cleaning an industrial tank using electrical energy and critical fluid comprises the steps of transmitting electrical energy into an industrial tank to a first predetermined temperature, providing a critical fluid with a reactant or catalyst into the tank for diffusion into the contents of the tank at a predetermined pressure, transmitting electrical energy into the tank to heat the contents including the critical fluid to a second predetermined temperature to initiate reaction of a reactant in the critical fluid with a portion of the contents of the tank causing hydrocarbons and contaminants to be released for extraction as a vapor, liquid or dissolved in the critical fluid. A step of pressure cycling may be performed prior to a step of removing the contents of the tank including the hydrocarbons and contaminants. A further step includes separating the hydrocarbons, critical fluid, gases, and contaminants removed from the tank.
