  • Publication number: 20150298310
Abstract: Snap ring pliers include pivotally attached first section and second sections having first and second respective jaw portions, a first tipped part having a first minor tip and a first major tip, and a second tipped part having a second minor tip and a second major tip. A pivot pivotally couples the first section to the second section for movement of the first and second jaw portions between closed and open positions. The first and second tipped parts are removably connectable to the respective first and second jaw portions in first orientations for forming a minor snap ring gap tongue by the first and second minor tips in the closed position of the first and second jaw portions, and for forming a comparatively larger major snap ring gap tongue by the first and second major tips in the closed position of the first and second jaw portions.

  • Patent number: 7654177
Abstract: Snap ring pliers include a first section having a first jaw portion with a first outer end and a first tip projecting outwardly from the first outer end, and a second section having a second jaw portion with a second outer end and a second tip projecting outwardly from the second outer end. The first tip opposes the second tip. A pivot pivotally couples the first section to the second section for movement of the first and second jaw portions between closed and open positions. The first and second tips are joined forming a tongue adapted to be received in a snap ring gap in the closed position of the first and second jaw portions, and the first and second tips are spaced apart and separated by a gap in the open position of the first and second jaw portions.

  • Patent number: 4104157
Abstract: This invention relates to the process of flotation concentration of a sulfide mineral in which an aqueous pulp of an ore containing such mineral is subjected to a flotation operation to produce a final high-grade flotation concentrate of such mineral, the improvement comprising carrying out said flotation with a polyglycerol present in the aqueous pulp in an amount sufficient to increase recovery of such mineral in the final concentrate over that obtainable without the presence of said polyglycerol.

  • Patent number: 4028235
Abstract: The improvement in the process of concentrating a sulfide mineral by froth flotation from an aqueous pulp of an ore containing such mineral, comprising using as at least part of the aqueous phase of the pulp sewage treatment plant water effluent conditioned prior to use with at least about 3 parts per million of a polyglycerol.

  • Patent number: 4011072
Abstract: Copper is recovered from an aqueous pulp of an ore containing both sulfide minerals and oxidized minerals by continuously monitoring the EMF of the pulp and adding a water-soluble sulfide to the pulp in an amount from 0.05 to 7 pounds of contained sulfur per ton of ore whenever and for so long as the pump EMF is above about -30 millivolts with reference to a standard silver-silver chloride electrode, and discontinuing such addition whenever such EMF in less than about -30 millivolts. Thereafter the pulp is subjected to a froth flotation operation in the presence of a collector for copper sulfide minerals to produce a concentrate containing most of the sulfide minerals and a substantial part of the oxidized minerals of the ore.
