Abstract: A stackable container has a body with base, pair of opposing side walls and pair of opposing end walls, the walls extending from the base to form an opening having a rim portion extending around its upper periphery. A lid member is pivotally mounted to the body to close the opening and provide access through the opening. One or more connector members are provided with the body and are operable between stored and active states. In the active state, the connector members enables interconnection with an adjacent container so as to support the container in a stacked arrangement, whereby an adjacent container does not prohibit access into the opening of another adjacent container.

Abstract: A fastener suitable for connecting two parts of a dental splint together in a prearranged or predetermined spatial relationship to treat a person suffering from a sleep disorder is described. In one form the fastener comprises a base member and a cover member arranged to define a cavity therebetween. A movable connector is located within the cavity, the movable connector interconnecting the two parts of the dental splint. The fastener has an adjustor movably connected to the connector such that the position of the connector is moved in response to movement of the adjustor by adjusting the position of the adjustor, the connector in the form of a hook moves the other part of the dental splint so as to reposition the jaws of a person being treated for the sleep disorder.

Abstract: A dental device is described in the form of a mandibular splint having two arch members interconnected together by a fastener. The fastener of the present invention includes a flange for locating the fastener in the correct location, two tabs arranged to extend in opposite directions from opposite sides of the body of the fastener for connection to two substantially arcuate wings which are pivotally connected to the fastener. The wings are adjustable in orientation both with respect to each other and with respect to the fastener and are adjustable in length. The fastener is also provided with an adjustable hook or similar arrangement for interconnecting the two arches together in use to maintain the jaws of a person suffering from a sleep disorder at a predetermined spaced apart relationship to open the breathing passages to ameliorate the sleep disorder. Opening of the breathing passages reduces the chances of a person snoring as well as treating other sleep disorders.

Abstract: A device for removing and storing the blade of a scalpel of the type comprising a handle having a reduced section at one end thereof with an elongated boss on one side of said reduced section, said boss having a recess partially extending along each side thereof, and a blade having an elongated slot therein with a reduced section, said slot being complemental to said recessed boss, such that the blade is retained on said boss when the reduced section of the blade slot engages the recess on the boss, comprises a container adapted to accommodate at least one blade, an aperture in said container shaped to allow the introduction of the blade retaining end of the scalpel into said container, abutment means projecting outwardly from said aperture adapted to abut against the inner end of the blade when the handle is removed from said container restraining the blade from outward movement thereof and allowing retention of the blade in the container.
