  • Patent number: 4678699
Abstract: A stampable thermoplastic composite having at least one thermoplastic layer and at least one shielding layer. The shielding layer comprises a material having an elongation to break of at least 8 percent, and the composite having an EMI/RFI shielding effectiveness of at least 30 db.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 11, 1985
Date of Patent: July 7, 1987
    Assignee: Allied Corporation
Inventors: Gina R. Kritchevsky, John A. Gregor, Manfred W. Gruendig, Gregory J. Sellers, Barbara Liss
  • Patent number: 4484184
Abstract: A magnetic theft detection system marker is adapted to generate magnetic fields at frequencies that (1) are harmonically related to an incident magnetic field applied within an interrogation zone and (2) have selected tones that provide the marker with signal identity. The marker is an elongated, ductile strip of amorphous ferromagnetic material having a composition defined by the formula M.sub.a N.sub.b O.sub.c X.sub.d Y.sub.e Z.sub.f, where M is at least one of iron and cobalt, N is nickel, O is at least one of chromium and molybdenum, X is at least one of boron and phosphorous, Y is silicon, Z is carbon, "a"-"f" are in atom percent, "a" ranges from about 35-85, "b" ranges from about 0-45, "c" ranges from about 0-7, "d" ranges from about 5-22, "e" ranges from about 0-15 and "f" ranges from about 0-2, and the sum of d+e+f ranges from about 15-25.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 1981
Date of Patent: November 20, 1984
    Assignee: Allied Corporation
Inventors: John A. Gregor, Gregory J. Sellers
  • Patent number: 4471018
Abstract: An improved polymer sheet. The improvement is at least one surface polymer film layer and at least one fabric veil. A veil is laminated between each surface polymer film layer and the polymer sheet. There is a method of heating a polymer sheet containing the improvement of the present invention.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 5, 1982
Date of Patent: September 11, 1984
    Assignee: Allied Corporation
Inventors: Gina R. Kritchevsky, John A. Gregor, William F. Wiederspahn, Margaret M. Randle, Joseph E. Mackey
