  • Patent number: 5021014
Abstract: An electrical bus bar assembly is provided in which an elongate conductor member having at least one generally flat surface with two spaced generally parallel channels having an opening through the flat surface narrower than a major section of the channel parallel to the flat surface and separate by a riser member extending above said surface are provided with at least one connector module made up of a top member with two depending legs bent inwardly at the end remote from the top member and terminating adjacent the riser member and having a foot member on each slidably engaged in the parallel channels through said opening, and clamp means in the top member acting to exert pressure on a wire inserted between the legs and on the riser to fix the wire in the connector module and the connector module in tight conductive relation on the conductor member. Lips provided on the legs interact with grooves provided on a T-shaped member to prevent the foot members from spreading apart.

  • Patent number: 5004437
Abstract: An electrical connector block is provided having a housing with a pair of generally parallel sidewalls extending from a base member and separated by a trough open on the side opposite the base member, a groove on each sidewall opposite the trough and spaced from the open side of the trough, a cap member having depending arms adapted to slide along the sides of the parallel sidewalls over the open trough, said arms having inturned flanges engaged in the grooves of the sidewall, at least one screw member threadingly engaged in said cap member and carrying a clamp member pivoted on the end thereof between the sidewalls for clamping a wire between the clamp member and base member.

  • Patent number: 4987995
Abstract: The stackable low depth bottle case of the present invention includes four side walls and a bottom portion. A plurality of upwardly projecting hollow columns extend upwardly within the side walls. The columns, walls, and bottom portion define a plurality of bottle retaining pockets. The bottle retaining pockets have flat surfaces to permit retention of bottles without base indentations and to permit rotation of petaloid bottles. The columns extend upwardly from the base portion a distance approximately one third of the height of the bottles to be retained. The columns may be hollow to permit empty cases to stack top to bottom. The lower surface of the bottom portion has circular concave portions with central retaining openings to facilitate stacking of loaded cases top to bottom. When a case is disposed on a lower filled case, the bottle tops of the lower case are guided toward the central retaining openings by the circular concave portions.

  • Patent number: 4671411
Abstract: A molded plastic and metal case is provided which is designed to be stackable with other cases of the same construction to provide a sturdy display of the products contained therein and which is also nestable with other like cases to provide compact storage of empty cases. The display case is formed primarily of molded plastic and includes two upstanding metal frames on either side which form handles for carrying the case. Along the inside bottom of the case is a metal ring which is welded to the upstanding metal frames. The upper portion of each handle forms a stacking ledge which is received within a channel positioned adjacent and parallel to the side edges along the underside of each case, thus allowing the cases to be securely stacked. Adjacent each channel is a parallel slot which extends through the underside of each case and is used for nesting empty cases. The slot is designed to receive the frames of the next two lower cases thereby permitting a nesting ratio of 3:1 or greater.

  • Patent number: 4520941
Abstract: A molded plastic crate for transporting and storing five-gallon water bottles having differing external configurations has the general form of an open-ended square box with reinforced internal corner struts nested within each of the four box corners adjacent a centrally apertured box bottom. Exterior midsection portions of the crate side walls adjacent the upstanding box corners are recessed to accommodate hand-truck pickup when the crate is lying on its side. A set of opposed aligned wide handle openings are provided in each pair of opposed crate side walls with one set being located at a different height above the box bottom than the other set. A separate retaining bar which projects into the crate interior near the perimeter of the box open end to restrain a bottle against unintentional slippage from the crate may be retained in place by a steel ring encircling the perimeter of the box open end.
