    Abstract: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems and methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a wound dressing, negative pressure source, user interface, sensor, and control circuitry. The user interface can receive an activation input. The sensor can detect whether the wound dressing is positioned over a wound. The control circuitry can cause supply of negative pressure in response to receipt of the activation input and a determination that the sensor detects that the wound dressing is positioned over the wound. In addition, the control circuitry can prevent supply of negative pressure in response to a determination that the sensor does not detect that the wound dressing is positioned over the wound.

    Abstract: A trimming apparatus and method for cutting a strip of sheet material, such as wood veneer, is described including a clipping trash gate. A strip cutter including a cutter knife mounted on the trash gate for pivotal movement and a stationary cutter member cooperate to cut defective trash portions from the strip as it is conveyed past the trash gate. The trash gate opens to discharge the trash portions from the strip path through the gate. The stationary cutter member is made of soft plastic material, such as ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The stationary cutter element is cut by the knife blade to form the cutting edge of such stationary cutter member and to simultaneously accurately align it with the knife blade cutting edge. The cutting edge of the knife blade is spaced from the stationary cutter member by a distance which is tapered along the length of the knife for progressive engagement of the knife cutting edge with the stationary cutter member to provide a scissor cutting action.

    Abstract: Synchronous array logic circuitry and a system for automatically laying out such circuitry for the fabrication of integrated circuits are described. The synchronous array logic circuitry includes as many cells as necessary to perform the desired functions with each cell including a transistor array for evaluating a Boolean function and supplying the result to a storage element through a multiplexer. The storage element latches the output signal and supplies it to other transistor arrays and/or other cells. The transistor array includes serially connected transistors for performing AND functions and parallel connected transistors for performing OR functions. The multiplexer operates under control of a test signal to configure the storage elements serially, thereby enabling complete testability of all cells.
