  • Publication number: 20210310965
Abstract: A system for non-destructive testing of an overhead energized electrical component. The system has a base, an X-ray source, an X-ray digital imager, and an imager controller. The system also has a removable electrically conductive flexible shield which is adapted to be operatively coupled to, and to encapsulate, at least the base, the X-ray source, the X-ray digital imager and the imager controller so as to form a shrouded system. In a use position, when the shrouded system is positioned adjacent the energized electrical component so as to non-destructively test the energized electrical component, the shield protects at least the base, the X-ray source, the X-ray digital imager and the imager controller from electric fields around the energized electrical component while allowing signal communication between at least the X-ray source and the energized electrical component.

  • Patent number: 11116365
Abstract: A method for loading a stack of individual paper units into a dispenser includes inwardly pushing on a pair of oppositely disposed end portions of respective lateral walls of the dispenser, thereby releasing a drawer of the dispenser for sliding movement of that drawer relative to a remainder of the dispenser. The drawer includes first and second, oppositely disposed sidewalls, a bottom wall, and an arcuate front wall that has a dispensing aperture. The bottom wall of the drawer extends between the first and second sidewalls of the drawer, and the sidewalls of the drawer define an open end of the drawer opposite the bottom wall and, jointly with the bottom wall and arcuate front wall, defines a storage volume of the drawer. The drawer is slid outwardly relative to a remainder of the dispenser to thereby expose the first and second sidewalls and bottom wall of the drawer.

  • Patent number: 10935477
Abstract: A method of detecting a defect in an applied volume of material includes detecting a pressure discontinuity during dispensing the volume of material along a predetermined path on a substrate. The pressure discontinuity is indicative of the defect in the applied volume of material. The location of the defect along the predetermined path is function of a start time of the pressure discontinuity and the size of the defect is a function of a time duration of the pressure discontinuity. The method can further include determining whether or not to repair the defect as a function of the location and the size of the defect in the applied volume of material. The method includes repairing the defect by re-directing the material applicator to the location of the defect and dispensing additional material at the location of the defect.

  • Patent number: 10924291
Abstract: Operations include determining billing for data being transmitted out of an Autonomous System (AS). An internal node in the AS determines billing for a packet transmitted out of the AS based at least on an egress path of the packet. The packet is received at the internal node in the AS The internal node selects an egress path of the packet based on one or more characteristics of the packet. The egress path is mapped directly or indirectly to a billing counter. The billing counter is incremented based on (a) the transmission of the packet on the overlay network to the egress gateway and (b) transmission of the packet out of the AS on the selected egress path.

  • Patent number: 10900860
Abstract: A method for monitoring a fluid carrying conduit by introducing an acoustic pulse into the conduit, and interrogating an optic fibre positioned along the path of said conduit to provide distributed acoustic sensing. By measuring the response at each of a plurality of locations, a conduit condition profile can be derived. A condition profile can be obtained quickly and easily with minimum disruption to the pipeline infrastructure and contained flow. Existing optic fibres running along the path of a pipe can be employed for sensing purposes, allowing relatively long spans of pipeline to be monitored with only limited access to the pipe.
