  • Patent number: 6084308
Abstract: A chip-on-chip integrated circuit package is disclosed. The device includes a substrate having a plurality of conductive landings disposed on a first surface thereof, a first die that is positioned over a substrate, and a second die that is mounted on the first die. The first die has a plurality of I/O pads that face away from the substrate. The second die includes a first set of contacts that mate with the conductive landings on the substrate and a second set of contacts that mate with the I/O pads on the first die. In a preferred embodiment, the first set of contacts on the second die take the form of a first set of solder bumps, and the second set of contacts on the second die take the form of a second set of solder bumps.

  • Patent number: 4896273
Abstract: A system is disclosed for selecting a band saw blade for a particular product to be cut on a selected band saw. Specifically, a schedule of predetermined parameters for operating most known types of band saws is entered into a microprocessor. The identity of the specific band saw and product to be cut it also entered. The microprocessor provides recommendations as to the optimum band saw blade for cutting the product. An additional feature of the invention is a system for providing a cost per-piece analysis of the product being cut, using both the present blade and the recommended blade. Further, a library of band saw problems and their recommend solution is provided. Finally, a product cross-reference schedule is provided in order to identify appropriate blades for a plurality of band saw brands.

  • Patent number: 4809200
Abstract: A testing and inspection recording apparatus for use in recording the operating conditions and physical condition of a metal working tool such as a motor driven band saw or the like has a portable computing unit programmed to receive, store and reproduce information regarding the type of machine being tested, the physical condition of the machine, the particulars of the owner's name and location of the machine. The computer is programmed to calculate the cross-sectional area of a particular workpiece after inputting of data regarding one or more linear dimensions of the workpiece. Proximity switches are connected to the computing unit. The switches are mounted to measure the initiation and the completion of a cutting operation and the completion of an operating cycle of the machine.

  • Patent number: 3939360
Abstract: A system for detecting the fluid level in an intravenous bottle wherein a disposable electrode assembly, consisting of a piece of tape having upper, middle and lower electrode strips, is adhered to the bottle and connected to sensing equipment. The upper strip is longer than the middle strip and the middle strip is longer than the lower strip, so that the capacity between the upper and middle strips (C.sub.1) is normally greater than that between the middle and lower strips (C.sub.2). The sensing equipment includes a bias capacity (C.sub.3) connected between the middle and lower strips so that C.sub.1 is less than C.sub.2 plus C.sub.3 except when the tape is on a bottle with the fluid level in the bottle above the top strip. Pulses having a gradually sloped leading edge and a steep trailing edge are fed to the centre strip.
