  • Patent number: 12103117
Abstract: A system for re-configuring a welding system provides the ability to download applications to a welding power source or system, and to store the configuration data and applications to one or more of a series of welders, thereby simplifying configuration and re-configuration of power sources.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 8, 2019
Date of Patent: October 1, 2024
    Assignee: ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS INC.
Inventors: Collin Stoner, John Luck, Anthony J. Kowaleski, Bruce A. Casner
  • Publication number: 20240289213
Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises: a first circuit to compact a plurality of data blocks to a compacted data block and to compact a plurality of error correction codes (ECCs) associated with the plurality of data blocks to a compacted ECC; and a second circuit to generate a generated ECC for the compacted data block. The apparatus may directly send the plurality of data blocks to a destination circuit without error detection on the plurality of data blocks based at least in part on the compacted ECC and the generated ECC. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9180544
Abstract: A method and apparatus of communicating control signals to a welding power source from a remote location includes a welding system operated by control signals transmitted by a wireless remote control that can be remotely located from the welding power source. A plurality of welding parameters in the welding system are set and adjusted in response to wireless command signals transmitted to a receiver that is connected to the welding power source via a connection port and is further connected to a controller in the welding power source. In this regard, an operator is able to quickly and efficiently control a welding system from a remote location, with no more cables than are necessary to perform the intended task.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 16, 2006
Date of Patent: November 10, 2015
    Assignee: ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS INC.

  • Patent number: 6835864
Abstract: Disclosed is a device and material which assist in the coagulation and containment of blood from a wound produced as a result of medical procedures which require blood to be drawn, such as with a lancet or a needle or the like. The device is a compact, portable unit that dispenses an appropriate amount of absorbent material for the collection and coagulation of blood. The absorbent material comprises a non-absorbent backing coupled with an absorbent top layer. The absorbent material may also contain medicaments that assist in the coagulation and wound healing process.
