  • Patent number: 10857313
Abstract: Embodiments provide aerosolization device for providing aerosolized medicament to user. The aerosolization device includes conduit, aerosol generator, fluid receiving chamber, restrictor within the conduit, and indicator mechanism. Conduit has an inner wall and a mouthpiece end for causing an inspiratory flow. Aerosol generator includes a vibratable mesh laterally offset from the inner wall. Fluid receiving chamber receives liquid medicament. At least a portion of chamber is tapered such that liquid medicament is directed onto vibratable mesh for aerosolization. Restrictor defines a plurality of apertures that provide increases in pressure differential that vary with inspiratory flow rate within conduit and provide relatively laminar flow downstream of restrictor. Indicator mechanism indicates a state of flow parameters relative to a predefined range. Aerosol generator is configured to aerosolize at least a portion of liquid medicament only when flow parameters of the inspiratory flow are within range.

  • Publication number: 20200375167
Abstract: An ice fishing bite indicator alert device for use with a reel having wound fishing line with the device including a housing to be mounted proximate the fishing reel and a movement indicator actuator located on the reel in a position spaced from an axis of rotation of the reel. The housing supports an electrically connected circuit that includes a trigger switch, at least one light source, at least one power source, and an on/off switch, with the trigger switch located within a path of movement of the movement indicator actuator. The electrically connected circuit has an inactivated state and an activated state which are associated with the location of the movement indicator actuator relative to the trigger switch and which control whether the trigger switch enables the power source to provide power to the light. The device also may include a sound source to provide an audible alert.

  • Patent number: 10842640
Abstract: An implant is insertable in the joint space to separate bones of the joint. The implant has two endplates each configured to engage a separate articulating bone of the joint, and a threaded member positioned between the two endplates and configured to increase the space between the two endplates when the threaded member is rotated. A rotatable gear is engaged with the threaded member, and is engageable with a rotating gear of a connected implantation tool, so that rotation of the gear on the tool causes rotation of the threaded member and expansion of the implant to separate the bones. Connector portions on the tool and the implant may be rotated together to securely engage the implant and the tool so that the gears of the tool and the implant can be rotated using an actuator outside of the body, when the implant is inside the body.

  • Publication number: 20200360153
Abstract: A spacer for separating bones of a joint includes a frame and a carriage. The carriage has ramped surfaces, and is slideably moveable in relation to the frame. A screw support is moveably connected to the frame to form a changeable angular orientation with respect to the frame. An actuating screw is supported by the screw support, and is connected to the carriage to cause the carriage to slideably move in relation to the frame when the actuating screw is rotated. Opposing endplates are configured to engage opposing bone of the joint, and each has ramped surfaces mateable with the ramped surfaces of the carriage. When the carriage is moved by rotation of the actuating screw, the ramped surfaces of the carriage and the endplates slide against each other, causing the endplates to move relatively apart, to increase the height of the spacer.

  • Publication number: 20200354677
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for genetically engineering T cells, such as CD4+ T cells, for use in cell therapy. In some aspects, the provided methods include one or more steps for incubating the cells under stimulating conditions, introducing a recombinant polypeptide to the cells through transduction or transfection, and cultivating the cells under conditions that promote proliferation and/or expansion. In some aspects, the incubation and/or the cultivation is performed in the presence of recombinant IL-2. In some aspects, the provided methods are an efficient, reliable means to produce genetically engineered T cells with a high degree of success.

  • Patent number: 10821903
Abstract: A modular side rail and removable step system for a vehicle is disclosed. In one aspect, the kit includes first, second, and third removable steps that may be mounted to the side rail. In one aspect, the side rail main body has a channel-shape defining a longitudinal opening between an adjacent first side and an adjacent second side. A plurality of step attachment arrangements may be provided on the first side of the side rail main body to allow the first, second, and third steps to be mounted to the side rail main body in various configurations. For example the plurality of step attachment arrangements may be arranged and configured to provide attachment locations for mounting the first and third removable steps in a first step assembly configuration and for mounting the second removable step in a second step assembly configuration.

  • Publication number: 20200330983
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to closed-system cryogenic vessels for biomedical material with needleless removal. The needleless removal can reduce damage to biomedical material inside the vessel, allow for greater recovery of biomedical material from the vessel, and reduce exposure risk to users of the closed-system cryogenic vessels during removal of the biomedical material from the vessel. In some aspects, the vessels can be used to store or package a composition of cells, such as a composition containing engineered cells, including in connection with adoptive cell therapy. Also provided are articles of manufacture, kits and methods.
