  • Publication number: 20080304639
Abstract: An interaction system is described, which can reside on a cellular phone, a personal data assistant (PDA), a laptop computer, or any general purpose computing device. The interaction system provides a greatly simplified user interface for communication with interactive service systems. The interaction system builds the user interface by interpreting an associated profile that enables a user to access the interactive service system. The entire menu system of the interactive service system is presented to the user in a simple and easy to navigate set of menus, user input prompts and audible outputs of requested user information and confirmations. The interaction system saves time and minimizes user entry errors. The system leverages existing interactive service systems while taking full advantage of computing device features.

  • Publication number: 20080091545
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to systems and methods for detecting unauthorized or fraudulent use of stored-value instruments. A stored-value instrument can be any instrument (tangible or intangible) that may be associated with a debit account and/or may otherwise be presented for payment for goods and/or services, used to transfer money, etc. The systems and methods of the invention generally involve processing request activity through a predetermined rule set to ascertain whether the activity is potentially unauthorized or fraudulent. The systems and methods of the invention allow for real-time monitoring of request activity for potentially unauthorized or fraudulent use of stored-value instruments.

  • Publication number: 20050083892
Abstract: A method for providing combiner channel assignments, with the soft symbols of corresponding demodulated information channels, is presented. The grouping of combiner channel assignments with the soft symbols permits any information channel to be associated with any finger channel without additional communications being required between a controller and the combiner. Once the demodulating finger is programmed with a combiner channel assignment for each finger channel, the assignment of finger channel outputs to combiner channels is regulated in the flow of communications between the combiner and the demodulating finger. A system for assigning combiner channels with the soft symbol outputs of a demodulating finger is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6519237
Abstract: A method to expediently perform search/correlation operation between an internal pilot pseudonoise (PN) sequence and an incoming pilot PN sequence. This operation is used to acquire base stations in a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system. In one embodiment, the present invention recites a method comprising several steps. First, a plurality of PN sequence values are provided internally and an input signal sample is received. The input signal sample is correlated, in parallel, with the plurality of PN sequence values. The correlation operation is performed at a rate equivalent to the input sample rate times the number of PN sequence values being correlated in parallel, assuming a resolution of one. The resultant products are respectively summed and stored in a plurality of accumulators.
