    Abstract: A system for election document processing is disclosed. Image data representative of a scanned election document is matched with a template for processing and consideration of a new elections record. The template defines areas of interest and rules for processing the image data. Data associated with picture elements defining the areas of interest is applied to predetermined validation functions to validate whether the image data includes sufficient information for populating predefined fields and accepting the scanned election document. Additional functions are applied to the image data to compare the image data with information of a voter registration database in order to verify a voter associated with the election document. The scanned election document is further processed for validation sampling.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of enhancing the resolution of digital terrain models (DTM) for location-based applications and analyses. The DTM enhancement process takes the signature of the input image (e.g., via the input image and a noise surface file with similar characteristics as the sensor used to capture the input image) and applies it to the DTM without including large features such as buildings. The disclosed methods include utilize a process similar to that used for enhancing a DSM based on mapping the changing intensity from the image file to changes in elevation in the DSM using a regression over a local neighborhood of pixels. Further, the disclosed methods do not rely on information about the sensors and are extendable to be able to utilize any types of images. Additionally, the disclosed embodiments are sensor agnostic and can be applied on any type of image collected by any type of sensor.

A microphone is placed in an ear canal of a user wearing the HMD, and generates a respective audio sample from the test sound emitted by the speaker of each base station. A controller determines the relative position of the HMD using the depth information, generates the calibration instructions based on the relative position of the HMD, and determines the HRTFs based on the audio samples.

    Abstract: In embodiments of an autonomous vehicle platform and safety architecture, safety managers of a safety-critical system monitor outputs of linked components of the safety-critical system. The linked components comprise at least three components, each of which is configured to produce output indicative of a same event independent from the other linked components by using different input information than the other linked components. The safety managers also compare the outputs of the linked components to determine whether each output indicates the occurrence of a same event. When the output of one linked component does not indicate the occurrence of an event that is indicated by the outputs of the other linked components, the safety managers identify the one linked component as having failed. Based on this, the outputs of the other linked components are used to carry out operations of the safety-critical system without using the output of the failed component.

The transfer function describes a variation between the environmental sounds and the internal sounds caused by the listening device blocking the ear canal.
