Publication number: 20140331986Abstract: A combination manufactured grill and fireplace/cooker with an upper lidded grill cooking grated area and a lower fuel burning fireplace/cooking area. The fireplace open section, where access doors can be placed, gives access to place, attend and remove fuel burning sources, including gas logs and food items. When sealable fireplace door(s) are closed the grill/fireplace cooker can control the intake and outtake of air. The use of the fireplace and grill cooker can be used simultaneously but the insulation properties and control of air flow may be reduced when the fireplace section or top lid is constantly opened or kept open.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2013Publication date: November 13, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary, SR.

Publication number: 20140256459Abstract: The invention entails a modular sectional race track with recreational style racing vehicles, such as four wheel all terrain recreational vehicles. The sectional race course usually has moving obstacles, various obstructions plus the general design of the course track induces the racing vehicles to spin out, tilt over on their side or framework roof and/or rollover completely. The race vehicles have specifically designed roll over frameworks that, with the driver's safety harness fastened, assist the racing vehicles to roll back over on to its drive tires. The racing vehicle may be additionally assisted to roll back over by a driver initiated mechanical righting device. The race tracks' sections can be configured to be sized and shaped for specific race venues. The track sections can be quickly attached, detached and transported as needed.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2013Publication date: September 11, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary

Publication number: 20140224241Abstract: A combination manufactured Kamado style insulated cooker and fireplace with fireplace door or doors on the front lower section of the Kamado/cooker. The fireplace doors can be opened to give access to place, attend and remove fuel burning sources, including gas logs and food items. When the fireplace door or doors are closed the Kamado grill/cooker/smoker/baking, top and lower section, can perform all functions and capabilities of a conventional Kamado cooker. The use of the fireplace and Kamado cooking can be used simultaneously but the insulation properties and control of air flow in Kamado style cooking may be reduced when the fireplace door(s) or top lid/chimney is opened or kept open.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2013Publication date: August 14, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary

Publication number: 20140224160Abstract: The present invention entails a canting sailboat sail rig. Mast support struts are attached at one end to the outer edges or railings of the hull(s), to the stern of the mast, and the mast struts attach at the other end to the lower sections of the mast. The mast foot base is attached to a circular track that runs from the centerline of the sailboat outward, toward the edges of the hulls, and upward the bow(s). When the mast foot move outward and upward toward the railing and bow(s) the upper section of the sail tilts or cants in the opposite direction from the mast foot outward direction, creating forward thrust, lift and reduced heeling. A jib can be attached to the head of the mast and the combination canting mainsail and jib can create force, lift and less heeling.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2013Publication date: August 14, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary

Publication number: 20140224420Abstract: The invention entails the method and process to manufacture air spacers in a radiant reflective insulating, air and moisture vapor venting assembly. An adhesive mixture usually made up of ground wood, various types of binder resins such as formaldehyde based resins, and possibly other materials. The adhesive mixture is applied on various protective layers such as panels, which might be oriented strand board (OSB), plywood or even metal panels, or may be applied to more flexible protective layers such as synthetic style underlayment rolled material. The adhesive mixture is applied on the protective layer as parallel spaced lines approximately 1ΒΌ to 1?th inches apart, about ? to 1 inch high and 1/16 to ?th inch wide. Forming guides may be used to help form the adhesive mixture air spacer lines. Radiant reflective material is then adhered to the top edges of the mixture lines.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2013Publication date: August 14, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary

Patent number: 8635823Abstract: The present invention comprises an effective manufactured insulation and ventilating assembly that can insulate a structure, usually in roofing or exterior wall applications, from conductive, convective and radiant heat. The radiant insulating and venting assembly is comprised of a rigid upper layer that is moisture resistant. The bottom layer of the assembly is made up of a radiant reflective surface. Between the rigid upper moisture resistant layer and the radiant reflective layer are non-collapsing air spacer columns, approximately ?ths to 1 inch in length, that create the needed air space for effective radiant heat reflection and air and moisture venting.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2012Date of Patent: January 28, 2014Inventor: John Milner McCary

Publication number: 20050266721Abstract: A connector for a data communications system has a housing containing a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board has insulation displacement contacts for connecting with wires in a cable. The insulation displacement contacts are connected to nose contacts which are also mounted on the printed circuit board. The nose contacts form a channel between the nose contacts and the printed circuit board. A strain relief member is located in the channel. The strain relief member absorbs mating forces generated during connection and disconnection of the connector.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2004Publication date: December 1, 2005Inventors: John Milner, Alan Miller

Patent number: 6339410Abstract: An apparatus and method for communication between patients and caregivers who speak different languages, or with speech deficient persons. A touch sensitive screen is provided to allow a patient to select responses to questions posed by care givers. A simple graphical user interface is provided which assists patients on respirators or otherwise unable to speak to communicate with hospital staff and family members. Combining thin profile LCD monitors with touch screen technology provides the user interface. In a preferred embodiment, a battery powered portable general purpose computer features a patient monitor on an adjustable articulated arm, and a second monitor for the care giver to view the patient's inputs and responses. Ideally, a roll-around hardware mounting configuration, with battery pack power, allows the system to be quickly moved and used in virtually any location.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1998Date of Patent: January 15, 2002Assignee: Tellassist, Inc.Inventors: John A.
