Patent number: 12215719Abstract: An actuation pressure to actuate one or more hydraulic actuators may be determined based on a load on the one or more hydraulic actuators of a robotic device. Based on the determined actuation pressure, a pressure rail from among a set of pressure rails at respective pressures may be selected. One or more valves may connect the selected pressure rail to a metering valve. The hydraulic drive system may operate in a discrete mode in which the metering valve opens such that hydraulic fluid flows from the selected pressure rail through the metering valve to the one or more hydraulic actuators at approximately the supply pressure. Responsive to a control state of the robotic device, the hydraulic drive system may operate in a continuous mode in which the metering valve throttles the hydraulic fluid such that the supply pressure is reduced to the determined actuation pressure.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Boston Dynamics, Inc.Inventors: Michael Murphy, John Aaron Saunders, Steven Potter

Patent number: 12192213Abstract: An internet service provider (ISP) is configured to analyze a subscriber's sent e-mail packets to determine a subscriber identity associated with the e-mail packets. A database is then queried to determine a current sending rate of e-mails by the subscriber. A sending rate above an allowed threshold causes the upstream transmission of the e-mail packets to be blocked by injecting connection destroying packets. A subscriber remains blocked from upstream transmission of e-mails until the sending rate as determined by the ISP drops below a second, more stringent threshold. This automatic process is also accompanied by automated messaging to the subscriber with information as to the measures taken and remedial options.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2023Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: PERFTECH, INC.Inventors: Jonathan E. Schmidt, John A. Murphy, Henry M. Donzis, Lewis T. Donzis, Peter W. Baron, Rodney D. Frey

Publication number: 20240380947Abstract: In a set-top-box system, messages from a service provider are stored and delayed until activity from a set-top-box remote is detected. Messages are then generated and provided to a television associated with the set-top-box. Delaying of the message display until set-top-box activity is detected allows short display times, thus preventing burn-in on some television screens, while providing a greater likelihood that messages will be viewed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2024Publication date: November 14, 2024Applicant: PERFTECH, INC.Inventors: Lewis T. Donzis, Henry M. Donzis, Peter W. Baron, John A. Murphy, Jonathan E. Schmidt

Publication number: 20240345991Abstract: The disclosed end-to-end product customization systems and methods receive custom orders from customers or consumers, evaluate them, and generate production-ready custom orders that are able to be used by decorator to create the custom products. The system receives a customization option and an order file type in the custom order. The system or a third party evaluates that customization option to identify a change order that is required and also determines a conversion recommendation to convert the order file type or a production-ready file type. The production-ready custom order is generated based on the change order and the conversion recommendation.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2024Publication date: October 17, 2024Inventors: Renton James Leversedge, Jason John Murphy, Stephen Carl Jacobson, Thomas B. Publication number: 20240335666Abstract: A stimulation scheduling system includes a control signal generator and a controller, which can form a control loop configured to generate sets of consistent pulse schedules with a controlled degree of difficulty. The control signal generator can generate a set of consistent pulse schedules using a set of corresponding stimulation parameter distributions and provide a detection parameter based on the generation of the set of consistent pulse schedules to a controller. The controller can estimate a difficulty state based on the detection parameter and update the stimulation parameter distributions based on the estimated difficulty state. The controller can model the difficulty of generating sets of consistent pulse schedules using a difficulty distribution. The difficulty state can be a parameter of the difficulty distribution. The controller can balance the difficulty of generating sets of consistent pulse schedules against the fidelity of the generated sets of pulse schedules.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2023Publication date: October 10, 2024Inventor: John Murphy
