Abstract: An anti-needlestick system has a needle assembly with a needle in a 90 degree shaped configuration having flexible wings secured at an intermediate extent to the needle. A shield assembly is formed as a generally planar sheet with long side edges and short end edges and a slot at a central extent for receiving the wings of the needle assembly when held together and adapted to be placed beneath the wings above a patient's skin. The shield assembly is divided up into a male section on one side of the slot and a female section on the other side of the slot. Each section has an upwardly facing side wall along the side and end edges of the planar sheet. A locking member formed in the side wall includes a male locking member and a coacting female receptacle.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a flexible bag containing fluid and for applying pressure to the bag to thereby facilitate the dispensing of the fluid from the bag, comprising a cuff adapted to support a bag of fluid to be dispensed and to apply pressure to facilitate the dispensing of the fluid; A gauge to determine and display the pressure within the cuff, the gauge being formed of a housing with a fluid port; and a manifold having a passageway in fluid communication with the cuff, a passageway in fluid communication with a pump for inflating the cuff, and a passageway coupled with respect to the gauge.

Abstract: A pad for securing the head of a stethoscope to a patient's skin comprising, a generally annular sheet of flexible material larger than the head and having an outer edge, an inner edge defining an opening smaller than the head of the stethoscope, a slot extending from the outer edge to the inner edge, a back surface, a front surface, and adhesive on the front surface of the sheet.

Abstract: A device for suspension of a solution container in both an infusion and drain position, easily foldable or rollable for storage or carrying. The device comprises an elongated, flexible, foldable strap (10) attached at one end to a bracket (12), the bracket adapted to be secured to an elevated surface. There is an adjusting means, preferably a bolt (18) integral with the bracket to enable attachment and detachment of the bracket to an elevated surface. Finally, there are support means (24, 30) for suspension of the solution container, the support means being adjustably engagable with the strap at any desired location on the strap. Although primarily intended for use by patients practicing the medical procedure of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), the device is readily usable for suspension of other container types.
