Patent number: 10308534Abstract: A portable, personal advanced-oxidation water treatment system based on ozone and a catalyst such as titanium dioxide that can cycle and purify water to make it potable by removing organic contaminants. The unit can be used for long periods of time without having to replenish the active portions. The unit can be carried in a backpack or in a vehicle. Fresh water is typically loaded into the unit, and the unit is cycled until the water is pure enough to drink. A battery is used to produce ozone and to cycle the water through a reaction vessel and can optionally be charged with a small solar panel The unit can also be powered directly from a vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2017Date of Patent: June 4, 2019Inventors: Michael J. Fleck, John A. Pidgeon

Patent number: 10250756Abstract: Methods for provisioning wireline or wireless services and goods to at least one prepaid or postpaid customer in a communications network are provided. In one such method, a request is received for at least one service or good from a prepaid customer and it is determined based upon the request if sufficient funds are available to pay for the requested service and, if not, a warning message is sent to the customer. If funds are available a payment for the requested service or good is deducted from the customer's account, the account balance is updated, and an authorization is sent to the service node that facilitates the requested service or good. Upon receipt of the authorization, the service node is permitted to access the requested service or good in accordance with a parameter. Other similar methods are provided for postpaid customers.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: John Scott Daniel, Tina Michelle Guess, Thomas McGinty, Melody Ezell Eclavea, Christopher John Pidgeon, Lauren Lucille Champion, Yvette Sass Salley

Publication number: 20050284086Abstract: The invention provides a method of constructing a composite foundation structure (10) comprising shuttering (12) of pre-cast panels (14), defining an intersecting grid of channels (16) wherein beams (18) of settable material are cast. The panels (14) are connected to form rectangular structures (14.1). The rectangular structures are arranged on the ground (22), with the panels (14) in parallel extending spaced relationship, and with adjacent rectangular structures (14.1) being connected to and spaced from each other by spacers (20) of the same material. An interesting grid of channels (16) is thus defined between the rectangular structures (14.1). Thereafter a settable material is cast into the channels (16) and across the rectangular structures (14.1) and allowed to set. The concrete bonds to the pre-cast panels (14) and spacers (20) to form an integral composite foundation structure (10) that can be constructed relatively easily in problem soils.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2002Publication date: December 29, 2005Inventor: John Pidgeon
