  • Publication number: 20110272487
Abstract: This invention is related to a portable texture-spraying apparatus for uniformly dispersing a viscous material. This apparatus broadly includes a tank assembly having a body with an inner wall that defines a sealed cavity, and a piston assembly slidably disposed within the sealed cavity. The piston assembly divides the sealed cavity into an air-side chamber and a material-side chamber by providing an airtight seal therebetween. Additionally an air-control assembly is provided that broadly includes a pressure-control mechanism configured for receiving compressed air and routing a controlled pneumatic pressure to a directional valve configured for adjusting between a dispensing mode and a loading mode. In dispensing mode, the directional valve routes the controlled pneumatic pressure to the air-side chamber biasing the piston assembly toward the material-side chamber.

  • Publication number: 20110196803
Abstract: An evaluation of an external course may be based on course-to-requirement mappings that have been previously established for the target institution. As a result of the evaluation, the external course may be mapped to a particular program requirement for a particular student, which allows the external course to fulfill the particular program requirement at the institution for the particular student. The course evaluation may be automatic or may be performed by a human evaluator. Course-to-requirement mappings may be globally-established, and applicable to all students and applicants of the target institution, or may be applicant-specific, and only applicable to the student for which the mapping was established. Information about both globally-established and applicant-specific course-to-requirement mappings that have been previously established for the institution may be used to evaluate an external course for a particular student.

  • Publication number: 20100287023
Abstract: When a group of users engage in activities comprising multiple tasks shared amongst the group, difficulties may arise from tracking progress, facilitating communication, reconciling tasks, etc. Accordingly, as provided herein, a collaborative view for a group participation plan may be created. A group participation plan comprising one or more tasks and one or more participant identities may be received. A commitment plan may be created by allocating the one or more tasks to respective participant identities. The commitment plan may be presented within a collaborative view. The collaborative view may show overall group progress, individual progress, and/or other information relating to the completion of allocated tasks. The collaborative view may be updated based upon task progress. Participants may view and interact with the collaborative view (e.g., a web-based user interface). For example, a participant may track individual progress, group progress, and/or other participant's progress.

  • Patent number: 7479214
Abstract: An ECM apparatus includes a stationary cathode tool having a passage, and a drive mechanism for moving a bar-shaped workpiece through the passage of the cathode tool while simultaneously rotating the workpiece. Electrolyte flows, from a manifold on one end of the cathodic tool to a manifold at the other end, through the passage, between the wall of the passage and the workpiece. An electric current is simultaneously established in the electrolyte, between the wall of the passage and the workpiece. The internal shape of the cathodic tool wall has a gradual transition from a circular entry opening to a lobed exit opening, and lobes formed in the wall of the tool are shaped so that they twist in the direction of workpiece rotation, in order to form helical lobes in the workpiece.

The design comprises a design layer. The print pattern includes a base layer. The print pattern includes elongate printed areas orientated lengthways in one direction. The design layer and base layer include inkjet printable ink in elongate ink deposits orientated lengthways in the one direction. The elongate ink deposits may have an aspect ratio of length:width greater than 1.5:1. The base layer may include white ink. The panel may be made using a digital inkjet cylindrical printer that prints the base layer during at least 10 revolutions of the cylinder.
