    Abstract: A composition and method useful in promoting healing of a bleeding wound site. The composition preferably includes a substantially anhydrous acid form of a cation exchange resin, which when applied over blood, provides an antimicrobial against planktonic microorganisms and biofilms in the wound. The resin is also capable, when applied in sufficient quantities, of providing a continuing and persistent antimicrobial against planktonic microorganisms and biofilms through dehydration and ion exchange with cations present in the blood and other body fluids. When the resin has a concentration of at least 26 mg/ml, it provides a >3 log reduction in biological activity of MRSA, MRSE and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

A longitudinal gas passage extends through each end member in gas communication with the chamber. Each gas passage is sealably closeable, one gas passage being connectable to a source of pressurized hydrogen or deuterium gas deliverable under pressure into the chamber to charge the catalytic particles. A distal end of each end member is connected to an electric power source wherein, when electric current flows through the chamber, the gamma ray emission count decays at an abnormally high rate.

The first chamber receives the condensate and has an upper discharge outlet and a lower discharge outlet. The second chamber has an inlet connected to the lower outlet and a second chamber outlet below the upper discharge outlet such that separated carrier oil is discharged through the upper outlet. Separated water is discharged through the second chamber outlet. An interface between the separated carrier oil and water extends between the upper discharge outlet and the lower discharge outlet. In another embodiment, the carrier oil includes at least one of a high molecular weight oil, a lubricating oil and a defoamer. An additive having a lower concentration of the at least one of the high molecular weight oil, the lubricating oil and the defoamer is added to the carrier oil.

    Abstract: An energy conversion cell for converting electric power into heat. The cell includes a non-conductive housing formed of spaced, preferably glass outer plates sealed along common perimeters thereof to define a closed interior volume or chamber. At least two catalytic plates are held spaced apart in the interior volume, preferably separated by a dielectric plate. The catalytic plates are preferably formed of very thin palladium plate material. A gas passage in gas communication with the interior volume is connectable to a source of pressurized hydrogen (H2) or deuterium (D2) gas deliverable into said interior volume. A high voltage a.c. electric power source is connectable through a high voltage step-up transformer between each of the catalytic plates whereby, when a.c. electric current flows through the catalytic plates and across the dielectric plate, the interior volume, being filled with hydrogen or deuterium gas, heat is produced within the interior volume for external use.
