  • Publication number: 20210402240
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to adjustable and/or foldable play surfaces, that may include climbing surfaces, sliding surfaces, and/or other play structure surfaces. A foldable slide may comprise a slide surface; at least one side rail attached to the slide surface via at least one hinge, wherein the at least one side rail is configured to rotate with respect to the slide surface about the at least one hinge from a first position of the foldable slide to a second position of the foldable slide; and at least one attachment element configured to secure the at least one side rail into the second position.

  • Patent number: 6178896
Abstract: A shelving system is disclosed. The shelving system includes a panel having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. The panel includes at least one socket. The socket is disposed on the panel and includes an inner wall and an outer wall circumscribing the socket inner wall. The outer wall is distanced from the inner wall. A floor member is coupled to the inner wall and the outer wall and is disposed generally parallel relative to the panel. The socket is adapted to transmit stresses along the floor member.

  • Patent number: 6079339
Abstract: A shelving system is provided for use in the storage of various articles. Specifically, the shelving system includes a panel having a plurality of rail members formed with the panel. The rail members have an curvilinear lower portion. Preferably, the curvilinear lower portion distributes greater material proximate regions in the panel which experience greater stress. Similarly, the rail members also have an upper portion having a depth extending away from said panel. Preferably, the amount of depth of the upper portion of each rail member is designed to distribute greater material proximate regions in the panel which experience greater strain once loaded. Lastly, the molded shelving of this invention includes a plurality of socket members including support members designed to transmit stress away from the sockets, thereby reducing stress concentrations adjacent the socket members.

  • Patent number: 5516203
Abstract: A multi-compartment storage cabinet (10) is disclosed, comprising a housing (12), a cover member (52), and a plurality of bins (62). The housing (12) is configured to provide tandem vertical pivot rods (48) extending down the middle of the housing, and a column of storage compartments (26) on each side. Each bin (62) and compartment (26) are of triangular configuration, and the bins (62) are pivotally coupled at an inward corner to the pivot rods (48), whereby enabling the bins to individually pivot between a storage position within the compartments and an open position outside of the compartments. Leaf spring members (30) are formed in the housing to engage shoulders (76) of the bins (62) as the bins reach the storage configuration and lock the bins within the housing. The spring members (30) further apply a directional ejection force on the bins as the bins are rotated out of the storage position, to assist in pivoting the bins out of their respective compartments.

  • Patent number: 5351730
Abstract: A carpenter's workbench is disclosed comprising a freestanding frame body (4) supported by four legs (6). A longitudinal channel (46) of T-shape profile and a V-shape groove (48) extend into a top surface (14) of the body (4) and are adapted to receive and render stationary lengths of lumber and tubular pipe, respectively, such that ends which overhang the workbench may be severed. Alternatively, a length of two by four inch wood may be situated horizontally and secured within an upper portion (50) of the channel (46) to provide a wood work surface if desired. Peripherally located surfaces (28, 36, 64) are provided having means (30, 32, 38, 62) for securing work tools to the workbench. Storage compartments (40, 42) are further provided to store hardware.
