  • Publication number: 20230049026
Abstract: A method of forming an innervated liquid crystal elastomer (iLCE) actuator comprises extruding a filament through a nozzle moving relative to a substrate, where the filament has a core-shell structure including a shell comprising a liquid crystal elastomer surrounding a core configured to induce a nematic-to-isotropic transition of the liquid crystal elastomer. The filament is subjected to UV curing as the filament is extruded, and the filament is deposited on the substrate as the nozzle moves. A director of the liquid crystal elastomer is aligned with a print path of the nozzle, and a 3D printed architecture configured for actuation is formed.

  • Patent number: 11582042
Abstract: A verification platform may include a data connection to receive a stream of industrial asset data, including a subset of the industrial asset data, from industrial asset sensors. The verification platform may store the subset of industrial asset data into a data store, the subset of industrial asset data being marked as invalid, and record a hash value associated with a compressed representation of the subset of industrial asset data combined with metadata in a secure, distributed ledger (e.g., associated with blockchain technology). The verification platform may then receive a transaction identifier from the secure, distributed ledger and mark the subset of industrial asset data in the data store as being valid after using the transaction identifier to verify that the recorded hash value matches a hash value of an independently created version of the compressed representation of the subset of industrial asset data combined with metadata.

  • Publication number: 20230039278
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system may include an additive manufacturing platform that provides additive manufacturing capability data. A customer platform, associated with a customer, may transmit an industrial asset item request for an industrial asset item. A digital transaction engine may receive the additive manufacturing capability data and the industrial asset item request. The digital transaction engine may then associate the industrial asset item request with an industrial asset definition file, and, based on the additive manufacturing capability data and the industrial asset definition file, assign the industrial asset item request to the additive manufacturing platform. The assignment of the industrial asset item request may be recorded via a secure, distributed transaction ledger. Responsive to the assignment, the additive manufacturing platform may create the industrial asset item (e.g., via an additive manufacturing printer) and provide the item to the customer.

  • Publication number: 20230043805
Abstract: A method performed by a computing device includes determining a set of identigens for each word of a query of a topic to produce sets of identigens. Each set of identigens represents one or more different meanings of a word of the query. The method further includes interpreting, using identigen pairing rules, the sets of identigens to determine a most likely meaning interpretation of the query and produce an excluding query entigen group with an excluding entigen. The method further includes recovering a response entigen group for the query from a knowledge database utilizing the excluding query entigen group. The response entigen group provides a response to the query.

  • Publication number: 20230028381
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating an enterprise user to obtain an answer to a user question within an enterprise based on an enterprise knowledge graph are provided. In particular, an enterprise server may receive the user question from the enterprise user, determine a suggested topic associated with the user question based on the enterprise knowledge graph by transforming the user question into a semantic representation to identify a plurality of similar entities within the enterprise knowledge graph, and determine whether a relevant question-and-answer (Q&A) pair linked to the suggested topic exists based on the enterprise knowledge graph. In response to a determination that the relevant Q&A pair does not exist, the enterprise server may determine a predicted answer to the user question and update the enterprise knowledge graph.

  • Patent number: 11559365
Abstract: A teleoperational medical system includes a teleoperational control system, a teleoperational manipulator, an operator controller. The control system includes a processing unit configured to: determine a position and orientation of a marker on an operator of the operator controller; determine whether a head portion of the operator is directed toward or away from a display region of a display; based on a determination that the head portion is directed toward the display region, initiate an operator following mode in which a movement of the operator controller provides a corresponding movement to the teleoperational manipulator; and based on a determination that the head portion is directed away, suspend the operator following mode. The determination that the head portion is directed away from the display region of the display device includes determining whether the head portion of the operator is directed away from the display region for a threshold time period.

  • Patent number: 11562462
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-storage media fare provided for utilizing a GPU for user-defined image compositing operations. A sequence of compositing operations is determined for a graphical image document based on at least one user-defined layer property such as a layer mode or an opacity level. A domain-specific language runtime, such as Halide runtime, is used to provide encoded objects for each operation within the sequence with the code being optimized for the GPU platform. A command buffer with a plurality of commands comprising the encoded operations is created and committed to the GPU for execution of the compositing operations. Commands are committed to the GPU in an asynchronous nature such that additional command buffers may be created and committed the GPU prior to receiving a response from the GPU on an earlier command buffer.
