  • Patent number: 10896779
Abstract: The present invention relates to an isolation transformer suitable for use in a modulator for generating high voltage pulses for supply across a high voltage load having a thermionic cathode such as a magnetron, the isolation transformer comprising a primary winding formed from a triaxial cable where the triaxial cable comprises a core conductor surrounded by a dielectric insulator, in turn surrounded by a screening conductor, with an outer insulating jacket.

  • Patent number: 10539404
Abstract: A blast containment system for trash cans includes a liquid-impervious flexible bag having a sealed bottom positioned at a base of a trash can, and an unsealed top positioned and retained at a top periphery of the trash can. A ring-shaped boot is positioned at the sealed bottom of the flexible bag. A rigid container has a closed bottom press-fit into a central opening of the boot. The rigid container extends from its closed bottom to an open top adapted to be approximately aligned with the top periphery of the trash can. An annular volume is defined between the rigid container the flexible bag. The rigid container has side walls that include ballistic materials. A liquid fills the annular volume.

  • Patent number: 9494235
Abstract: An elastic seal for a building joint which includes internal walls or dividers which change orientation when the seal is compressed for placement into the building joint. The change in orientation allow for the seal to apply a relatively uniform force against the joint walls extending from the bottom wall to the top wall of the seal. Additionally, the change in orientation reduces the deflection of the top wall of the seal upwardly when compressed in the building joint. The walls also become more vertically oriented when the seal in compressed. This vertical orientation provides increased load support for the top wall when the seal is compressed into a joint.

  • Publication number: 20080000797
Abstract: A sachet or food container is formed of two plastics sheets joined to one another around the edges of an internal pocket of the sachet or container by welded seals. The compositions of the two plastics sheets differ one from the other and are selected such that the strength of the seals is controllable by varying at least one welding parameter selected from temperature, pressure and dwell time. The two sheets are welded to one another using a first set of welding parameters to produce strong seals in some of the seam regions bounding the internal pocket, while other seam regions bounding the pocket are welded using a second set of welding parameters to produce weak seals at which the sachet will burst open preferentially when the pocket is pressurised.

  • Publication number: 20060270838
Abstract: Pantropic neurotrophic factors which have multiple neurotrophic specificities are provided. The pantropic neurotrophic factors of the present invention are useful in the treatment of neuronal disorders. Nucleic acids and expression vectors encoding the pantropic neurotrophins are also provided.
