The additional information may include link information such as a URL or telephone number, and the function may be selected based on a type of the link information. In some embodiments, the link information may be extracted from audio-visual data of a selected programme, using optical character recognition. The apparatus may connect to a secondary device to transmit information to the secondary device, and may receive information relating to the selected programme from the secondary device.
