  • Patent number: 6327926
Abstract: The invention relates to a directional clutch with a drive element (10-120) and an output element (11;101, 102;130, 131) between which clamping elements (13, 14, 110) are arranged. Said clamping elements are connected to the output element in such a way that they turn without moving in relation to the direction of rotation of the output element both in a free-running position and in a torque transmitting position. The clamping elements are moved in a ring-shaped guide element (12) of the driving element in the free-running position and are blocked in said guide element (12) in the torque transmitting position. According to the invention, the output element consists of radial guides or borings (17;103, 104) each containing a projecting clamping body pin (15,16;111). In the first-mentioned case, the output element can be adjusted in an off-center position relative to the driving element.

  • Patent number: 4037986
Abstract: Control means, for effecting the pitch-adjustment of a rotor blade, includes an actuator urgeable by biassing means in one direction for adjusting pitch in one sense and being subjectable to fluid pressure for movement in the opposite direction, against the action of the biassing means, for adjusting pitch in the other sense. Stop means is provided which is also subjectable to said fluid pressure, being maintained in an inoperative position when the pressure is above a predetermined value and being movable into an operative position when the pressure falls below that predetermined value. Abutment means is engageable by the stop means, when in its operative position, to arrest movement of the actuator at a predetermined position when moving in said one direction.

  • Patent number: 3942911
Abstract: A bladed rotor including a hub which carries, so as to be rotatable therewith, a liquid reservoir, at least one pump operable upon rotation of the rotor, a single liquid-pressure-operable vane-type actuator for adjusting the blades of the rotor to vary flow of fluid over the blades, and control valve means for controlling operation of the actuator. The said pump, when operating, draws liquid from the reservoir and delivers it under pressure, by way of said control valve means, to said actuator.
