  • Publication number: 20240036081
Abstract: A current transformer assembly includes a first current transformer, a plug, a first wire and a second wire between the plug and the first current transformer adapted to transmit a measurement of the first current transformer; and a memory chip adapted to store a first scale factor of the first current transformer.

  • Publication number: 20230387717
Abstract: An electrical meter may have more than one analog-to-digital converter to allow the electrical meter to provide additional functionality. A first analog-to-digital converter (ADC) may be used by a metrology component of an electrical meter to determine an amount of energy consumption corresponding to power provided via the electrical meter. The electrical mater may have a second ADC that is separate from the first ADC used by the metrology component. The second ADC may have a different configuration from the first ADC, such as a different sampling rate or bit depth. The second ADC may be used to provide additional functionality, such as determining information about individual devices receiving power via the electrical meter.

  • Publication number: 20230081587
Abstract: A current transformer includes a first housing including a first handle portion and a first distal portion, a second housing including a second handle portion and a second distal portion, a first core mounted in the first distal portion, a second core mounted in the second distal portion, and a lock attached to the second handle portion at a pivot point, wherein the first housing is rotationally coupled to the second housing about a fulcrum point and the lock is rotatable about the pivot point into a closed position wherein the lock engages the first handle portion and prevents the first handle portion and the second handle portion from rotating towards each other.

  • Patent number: 11536747
Abstract: A current transformer includes a first housing including a first handle portion and a first distal portion, a second housing including a second handle portion and a second distal portion, a first core having a first proximal core end and a first distal core end the first core mounted in rotational contact within the first distal portion, and a second core having a second proximal core end and a second distal core end, the second core mounted in rotational contact within the second distal portion, wherein the first housing is rotationally coupled to the second housing about a fulcrum point.
