In alternative embodiments, provided are systems, and products of manufacture and kits have contained therein, or comprise, a system as provided herein, wherein the system can comprise: a dual nanopore device; and a tagged target polymer comprising a capture tag at a first distal end and a capture tag at a second distal end, wherein the capture tag comprises a single-stranded tail.
