  • Publication number: 20240303255
Abstract: In various embodiments a computer-implemented method for communicating sets of entities in a content catalog is disclosed. The method includes loading an entity index into memory at a microservice, where the entity index comprises entity identifiers corresponding to titles in a catalog, and where each identifier in the entity index is mapped to an ordinal number. The method also includes composing a message including a bitset to identify titles from the catalog, where a bit in the bitset is set if a position of the bit in the bitset corresponds to a respective ordinal number in the entity index associated with the one or more titles. Additionally, the method includes transmitting the message to a different microservice where a memory for the recipient microservice comprises a copy of the entity index, and where the bitset comprised within the message is decoded into entity identifiers using the entity index.

  • Publication number: 20240252896
Abstract: A command measurement system employs a ball flight tracking system that measures the location of a ball as it breaks the plane of the strike zone. The command measurement system also employs an intended pitch location system that provides the pitcher with a wireless signal to inform the pitcher of the intended pitch location. This intended pitch location target forms the pitcher's intent of where he or she is trying to pitch the ball. The measured pitch location is compared to the intended pitch location and a measure of command is determined by the amount of deviation of the measured location from the intended pitch location.

  • Patent number: 12039810
Abstract: A multi-purpose truncated triangular pyramidal shaped cone is used as a sports field marker having a multi-sided shape with sides sloping at approximately 102.5° upward for the support of a smartphone with camera(s) leaning against a side to provide a stable view and record a timed finish of an athlete crossing a finish line of a race. The smartphone is secured to a side of the cone by an intermediate clamp holder having tapered resilient plugs pressed into receiving holes in the cone side. In an alternate use, plural cones are used to hold ends of a horizontal hurdle bar. This bar is raised higher by stacking identical hollow cones forming a stack with a long pole extending through a hole in a flat top surface of a top truncated cone. The pole is secured along a vertical axis of the cone stack by set screws converging along their axes from holes on each side of the pyramidal cone. A bowed cradle is mounted atop the pole to hold the horizontal hurdle bar.
