  • Publication number: 20150330935
Abstract: The present invention relates to test devices for determining the presence of one or more analytes in a sample, methods for using such test devices and methods of manufacturing such test devices. The test devices comprise a substrate having disposed thereon, two or more conductive tracks, a reagent composition and a top layer covering a portion of the conductive tracks which forms, in combination with the substrate, a sample receiving chamber. At least one of the conductive tracks comprises a conductive polymer.

  • Publication number: 20100291611
Abstract: A device includes a substrate that defines, at least in part, a microfluidic network including an inlet in communication with a first detection zone and with a second detection zone. A cobalt reagent and a nickel reagent are disposed within the microfluidic network. First electrodes are in communication with the first detection zone and second electrodes arc in communication with the second detection zone. The device is configured to receive a blood derived sample introduced to the inlet, partition the blood sample into first and second blood sample portions, form a first mixture including at least some of the first blood sample portion and at least some of the cobalt reagent, and form a second mixture including at least some of the second blood sample portion, at least some of the cobalt reagent and at least some of the nickel reagent.

  • Patent number: 7396683
Abstract: Measurement of the redox properties of household dust is used to detect the presence of allergen-associated materials. Measurement may be electrochemical, preferably amperometric. A disposable electrode assembly may be made by screen printing with conductive (e.g. carbon and Ag/AgCl) inks. An absorbent pad overlying the electrodes can be used to wipe a surface to collect a sample. It may contain electrolyte and buffer components, so that adding water carries sample in an electrolyte/buffer solution to the electrodes.
