  • Patent number: 11942206
Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating the efficacy of entertaining elements during physical and cognitive therapeutic sessions are disclosed. The system is comprised of a means for providing visual and auditory information, and prompting a patient to perform physical and cognitive tasks of varying difficulty. The system is further comprised of a means of tracking the patient's movements to provide feedback to the patient and assess the performance of the patient's movements. Prompted movements are designed to provide therapeutic mental, behavioral, and physical health benefits to the patient, and may increase or decrease in difficulty based on prior assessments of a patient's movements. Entertaining elements are introduced in the visual and auditory information and assessed for their impact on the patient's performance of the movements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 2023
Date of Patent: March 26, 2024
Inventors: John Attard, Victor Talbot, Christopher Recinos, Darren Hocking, Hassan Farhat, Harout Mardirosian, Yudhi Sharma

  • Publication number: 20210212600
Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating the efficacy of entertaining elements during physical and cognitive therapeutic sessions are disclosed. The system is comprised of a means for providing visual and auditory information, prompting a user to perform physical and cognitive tasks of varying difficulty. The system is further comprised of a means of tracking the user's movements to provide feedback to the user and assess the performance of the user's movements. Prompted movements are designed to provide occupational therapeutic benefits to the user and may increase or decrease in difficulty based on prior assessments of a user's movements. Entertaining elements are introduced in the visual and auditory information and assessed for their impact on the user's performance of the movements.

  • Publication number: 20160005326
Abstract: An interactive, educational system that provides an immersive and adaptive environment for a user to explore content through dimensional, time-sensitive, and emotion-sensitive inputs and outputs. The system is implemented on a networked device, such as a mobile tablet, and can contain a real-time, three-dimensional, content delivery engine that is capable of providing an augmented reality interaction model for the user. Therefore, a real world, physical movement that the user takes with the networked device will be reflected on the device. The system can use image recognition technology to recognize objects within the real world and display those objects on the interface. Further, the system can superimpose computer-generated images onto the virtual display of objects from the user's real world environment.

  • Patent number: 5885996
Abstract: Quinazoline compounds which demonstrate antiproliferative activity, such as antitumor activity, processes of preparing these compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds, and the use of these compounds. These compounds inhibit the growth and proliferation of the cells of higher organisms and microorganisms, such as bacteria, yeasts and fungi. Preferred quinazoline compounds are capable of inhibiting the enzyme thymidylate synthase. Effects derived from the inhibition of the enzyme thymidylate synthase include those discussed above.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 4, 1997
Date of Patent: March 23, 1999
    Assignee: Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Inventors: Stephen E. Webber, Ted M. Bleckman, John Attard, Terrence R. Jones, Michael D. Varney
