  • Publication number: 20160030869
Abstract: A filter element has a filter media hollow body with a hollow interior circumferentially enclosing an outflow passage. A second filter as a bypass filter element is arranged at or integrated into the end cap the filter element. The bypass filter element is configured as an ambient airflow restriction device providing a significantly higher pressure drop relative to the in the filter media of the filter element, the significantly higher pressure drop is operable to limit or prevent airflow through the auxiliary inflow path. When the primary inflow path is obstructed, the ambient airflow restriction device operates to provide auxiliary airflow into the outflow passage, bypassing filtering of the filter media hollow body of the filter element.

  • Publication number: 20090091310
Abstract: Power provided to a remote network component is regulated. A monitoring circuit estimates a DC input voltage that is received from a central network supply. A control circuit compares the DC input voltage to a threshold DC voltage value to determine if the DC input voltage exceeds the threshold DC voltage value. A voltage conversion circuit converts the DC input voltage to a DC output voltage that is provided at an output voltage conductor and that is less than the threshold DC voltage value, if the DC input voltage exceeds the threshold DC voltage value. A bypass circuit bypass the voltage conversion circuit and transmit the DC input voltage to the output voltage conductor as the DC output voltage if the DC input voltage is less than the threshold DC voltage value.

  • Patent number: 6418195
Abstract: An apparatus communicates a diagnostic device with a telecommunications service source, or alternatively with a telecommunications service subscriber device, through a remote network unit. The apparatus includes a test plug structure receivable in operative engagement with a panel of over-voltage protection receptacles in the remote network unit. The apparatus further includes an engagement structure which connects the test plug structure with the diagnostic device in a plurality of selectable alternative conditions. These include a first condition in which the engagement structure communicates the diagnostic device with the service source through the test plug structure, and a second condition in which the engagement structure communicates the diagnostic device alternatively with the subscriber device through the test plug structure.

  • Publication number: 20020063924
Abstract: A Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) multi-media access system and method are provided in which voice, video and data signals are transported over a passive optical network (PON) between a central office location and a plurality of subscriber home network units (HNUs). Optical video distribution circuitry and telephony/data distribution circuitry at the central office location are included in the system and operate to send and receive CATV video, PBS video television, telephony and Packet data signals to and from the HNUs via the PON. Optical multiplexing/demultiplexing circuitry operating at the central office combines the video signals, which are operating at one optical wavelength, with the telephony/data signals, which are operating at a second, distinct optical wavelength. These combined optical signals are then transported over the PON to the HNUs.
