Abstract: A television remote control with channel-defined keys is provided including a housing. Also included is a plurality of control keys mounted on the housing having a pair of volume keys for remotely controlling a volume associated with the emission of audio signals by a television and a pair of channel toggle keys for remotely changing channels of the television in an incrementing and decrementing manner. Further provided is a plurality of user keys configured in a matrix on the housing. Each user key effects the transmission of a signal to change the channel of the television to a predetermined channel associated with the user key. Each user key has indicia associated therewith which corresponds with the corresponding channel.
